It looks strange, only 2 home games in April, and 4 away games. Not a good run in if we are in contention for a promotion (or relegation).

Crikey - You look at that list and realise what a tough division this is. There's at least a dozen teams who I'd expect to be challenging for the top 6 places. Of the others, no doubt 2/3 will defy the odds and out perform expectations as well.

Not going to be easy for anyone next season ...

I will miss 4 of the first 5 home games due to holiday commitments. Luck of the draw when I booked them. Last season we had most of September off. Am in the Lake District when we play Preston at home, damn, damn, damn.

Great first game to have, no pressure and probably the right time to play them!

When was the last time we won at Sunderland?

Don't see the point in releasing the fixture lists. 40% of them will change or alter over the season anyway. Even the first one has changed ffs.

I suppose we could just chuck the teams in a hat each Friday night?

Having an 'away day' meeting tonight to discuss our 'hit list'.

Turbo Shandy's at the ready

Ps I visited my lad at Uni yesterday, they are advertising 'Jaeger Brus'. 2 for £4.50

Baz i'm being told will Hughes has got a clause in his contract thanks to Sam rush

Pretty sure most players have these days Wassa? It's the agents and players that rule the roost.

Only time will tell if it is the right time to sell Hughes. He will either kick in on the prem or stagnate. I wish him well if he goes. I would have preferred him to make his top flight bow with us but something had to give, but once again I feel we sell ourselves short. If Hendrick is worth £10m and Oliver Burke £13m then Watford will have stolen Hughes at £8m.

Last time we won at Sunderland was I think 1991 won 2 1.

£8m for Hughes? Wtf is Mel playing at. I thought Sean Dyche got shafted by Watford but Derby have 3 times now in 9 months. If that's the buy out clause in Hughes contract wtf was Mel thinking allowing it to happen. It might be a contract Rush oversaw but Mel had to sign it off.

You could look at it that we safeguarded at least £8m for Hughes?
Not sure Watford is the club that will help him develop, but that's his choice. He doesn't have to sign for them.

£8m in this day and age?

I know Griff I agree but I find myself trying to justify anything more than £8m when you think his best game was over a year ago at Hull

Tommo he played well against Leicester

Fair point wassa but that Hull game was the best of Hughes
