I agree on ronnie mate. If you check the record you will see that I called him out about a week before you. It's probably the only thing we agree about.

and the red tops
Leicester coaches is who I would tell if I was Liverpool's bean counter right enough.
Thought he'd get a top 4 club tbh, guy is class. Can do better than Liverpool.
Nah, Magnum. I called him out as he was signing his contract. I knew he was duff by the way he used that pen.
Mick blamed me and my ilk for destroying Ronnie so the plaudits I'm taking so be off with ya..scoot!
Na in all seriousness, I would like Liverpool to make a decent impact in the CL and he's the kinda guys they should probably be signing.
Be happy for Klopp if he took them far.

Papa...if only Brendan had bought virgil, wanyama and Forster when I told him....
Where did it go wrong for Rodgers at Liverpool?
I remember all the deluded Brendan stuff but I'm not an avid follower of the EPL so kinda missed what happened there. Just know he was on course for league and lost it. Was it just coz of that?
Guy is a cracking manager, wasted in Scotland but good to have guys of that calibre in our game.

You might be right. That's why I told him to sign vvd, wanyama and Forster. Even a decent goalie might have won him the league.
He had this plan to win games by scoring more than the opposition
I thought the deluded thing came in the documentary?
Stevie Gees slip didnae help Brendans title aspirations tae be fair👍

He probably overachieved that season. Liverpool had great attacking weapons but it was more or less the same side that finished 6th or 7th the season before
He lost Suarez to Barca and Sturridge was absent for a whole season almost due to injury. No team could cope with that loss.

As a pool an I'll take a punt.
Was a multitude of factors, he neglected the defence. And I don't just mean didn't sign defenders I mean failed to attempt to work with them properly to bring about change.
Then he started to believe his own hype and his Brendan-isms got worse and worse and more cringe worthy, and when your then not succeeding on the pitch the players start to lose faith in you.
Add to that he started to make things far too complicated, each season we went into it trying to play 4-3-3 which never worked for us and we ended up switching to completely different formations throughout the season, one game towards the end I think he changed formation about 6 times in one game.
And finally, regardless of what people say about the committee, he had the lions share of input into transfers and he seemed so scattergun, hoarding attacking midfielders for instance.
All in all he's a very talented coach who seemed to improve most players technically more than I've seen any coach do, but the Liverpool job came too soon for him and I think it took him getting the sack to bring him back down to earth. Seems much mor grounded and mature at Celtic now than at Liverpool.

From what I'm aware of Silver the players liked Rodgers at Liverpool, but there's only so much you can tolerate. And when he was coming out with ridiculous jargon statements that had no real meaning but sounded fancy to explain things yet the results on the pitch were poor players started to question him.
After that things only got worse and more and more of what he was doing the players just didn't take to, he was his own worst enemy really, a lot of the time he just needed to keep his mouth shut and say nothing but instead he waffled.
He seems to have cut out the waffle a bit at Celtic but maybe it's just not in the news as much.
