My top 3 (or fav 3) would be Tupac, Eazy-E & Biggie.

Thought having Lil Wayne on the list is a joke.

On a side note, the diss track 'Hit em up' by Tupac is a song I have listened to regularly for the past 20 years. In it he disses a load of people, including Mobb Deep with the line 'don't one of you have sickle cell or something'

Last week, that guy with sickle cell in Mobb Deep died ... he finally succumbed to the disease'

Now every time I hear that song it's gonna be very different in my head

Away from the Lil Wayne argument, I'm saddened to see resistance to Andre 3000. I thought he was a hugely safe bet for a top 10 list. Superb talent

Rather than me being controversial, here is Billboards own top 10...

Lil Wayne is on it and imo deservedly so.

Everybody is entitled to their opinion, but the fact 2pac isn't on that list shows whoever wrote that article is an imbecile

Talented no doubt but some might no consider him as a rapper. Especially the latest songs.

Has anyone criticising the inclusion of Andre 3000 ever listened to any of Outkast's first 5 albums or have awareness of the contributions he makes to other artist's albums?

I always find ranking rappers difficult because their content can be so inconsistent.

Eminem - first 3 albums and mix tapes prior-to.during - top 3.

Eminem - any of the stuff afterwards - genuinely unlistenable.

I prefer to go by albums:

Ready to die, SSLP, MMLP, Illmatic, Reasonable Doubt, Tical, Flesh of my flesh, Enter the Wu, 3 feet high and rising, Low End Theory etc.etc.etc.

Shut up man!

He wasn't even the beater rapper in outkast, I'd have Alisha Dixon before him!

You genuinely think he wasn't the most talented one on Outkast?

Odd

Ice Cube, for the laughs.... No one comes close. Good flow too.

Eminem is a genius with the flow, probably the best. "Rap God" is ridiculous.

Kanye for style and production.

Kendrick for substance.

1. Andre 3000
2. Notorious BIG
3. Nas
4. Q Tip
5. Raekwon
6. Ghostface Killah
7. Mos Def
8. Prodigy (RIP)
9. Kendrick Lamar
10. Black Thought

Gutted to leave out: Slimkid3, Dre, Early Em, Cube & Snoop.

Anyone shaking their head to Outkast clearly hasn't heard anything pre Stankonia.

Tupac is too gimmicky for my liking.

Tought to leave out MF Doom and Method Man as well.

Looking forward to seeing DJ's list.
