BBC606 by a mile

Why? BBC606 is definitely a poor mans JA, JA is the more modern version with a load more stuff

People are getting nostalgic, BBC606 was crap and on a major downward slope before it got put out its misery

BBC was a joke fam you couldn't even Geocheckin.

Plus it was too stressful trying to make sure you got the last word in before we were all made to go to bed at 11pm and wait for it to open again.

But the sheer volume of people meant that the site was a lot busier during the day.

Obviously the level of traffic on BBC was better, but that's literally the only thing for me. Strange that more didn't come over to be honest, unless they didn't know about it.

They probably don't know this site exists.

Never understood the point of the 11pm thing. Was it because the site had to be constantly moderated?

On that point, BBC was ridiculously moderated. If you said "feck" in a comment it would be taken down and you would receive a stern email.

pretty sure that was the reason, yes.

and agree on that, the same still appears to be true today, if you look at comments on other articles...i remember reading some of the blogs when they redesigned parts of the website, and they were very heavily moderate, and frequently closed down early because too many people were straying "off topic"...iimagine over half the articles on here end up off topic, but not sure anyone cares all that much.

I think the only thing this site misses is the older BBC606 activity

In fact this site seems a lot quieter recently compared to 3/4 years ago.

all the sheite articles have sent people away
