----------------------------------------------------------------------
Morata has never managed those numbers and Peresic has done it once.
----------------------------------------------------
Morata has never been the main man in a team. he score about 20 last season with been a started.
why can't he be trusted?
Perisic has done it before yet you don't trust him to do it again.
Wow, this article started off talking about United's need to score more league goals this coming season but the OP didn't know where they were coming from.
I'll try and get it back on topic.
You all seem to be forgetting, you are already 17 goals down with the loss of Zlatan, another 5 if Rooney goes.
That's 40% of last season's goals lost. You already needed 21 league goals to get to the 75. Now you need 43.
If each of your remaining players doubled their tally from last year (100% unlikely) then you would still be 11 goals short of your minimum target.
Let this sink in for a few moments. 1 player scored 31% of your league goals last season and he's gone. Where are those goals coming from?
if they are not trusted enough, who are the trusted players to go for?

If Mkhi only gets 5 goals he's had a shocker of a season. We need more goals from our attacking players across the board. Every single one of them need to buck their ideas up and Jose also needs to become more attacking. Simple as that, none of this go 1-0 up and hold onto it bollox
-------------------------------------------------
Pretty much word for word agree with this
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Hard not to agree, it doesn't take into account the playing style and platform to perform though.
I expect plenty of goals from Mkhi and Pogba next season.
Mhki got 12 I think despite missing almost half of the season. He got 23 the season before at Dortmund.
Pogba got 9 and hit the post 10 times I think. They will start to go in sooner rather than later.

the fact he s got to about 23 and never been a main man at Madrid or Juve says a lot for me.

Lukaku would be the one, he's proved he can get the numbers that you need in the premier league on in a few different seasons.
Morata hasn't!
Good player yes but not proven in this league.
Can we clarify that we are talking about league goals here?
They could genuinely experience the problems we had the season after we sold Suarez & Sturridge got injured.

League goals, league.
Mkhitaryan scored 4
Pogba 5
Mata 6
Rashford 5
Martial 4
That's 24, 8 other players scored 1 each and with 17 for Zlatan and 5 for Rooney that makes it 54 league goals in total.
http://www.sportsmole.co.uk/football/man-utd/2016-17/top-scorers.html
Mkhitaryan has never scored more than 11 goals.

Jeez, why pluck figures out of the air when the real ones are available for everyone to see?
Add the Mourinho anti football factor and loads of goals are unlikely
Only Kane, Lukaku, aguero, Suarez, RVP and Rooney have got 25 or more In the league since 2011 / 2012.
All elite players.
In short, we need an a tip tip striker OR HUGE improvement from Mata, Martial,Pogba ans Rashford goal return wise

We won more trophies last season (in a labelled poor campaign until Stockholm) than Liverpool have won in the last 10 seasons combined.
Hahahahaha
Next season they will come 5 or 6th and at best win the league cup.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Chelsea scored 73 league goals in the 14/15 season.
the scousers do realise that when you go down the "you're losing 20 goals from ibra, 5 from rooney etc" route you also have to acknowledge that when you remove those two from the team you actually replace them with other players, not just play with 9 men?
so if we make no more signings then martial/rashford have 38 league games ahead of them as a number 9. and zlatan "only" got 17 PL goals, so any new striker doesn't need to hit 25 to replace that.
All the p!ss taking apart.
If we'd have been out scored by Bournemouth last season, I'd be facking screw!ngabout it.
As I've said above, Morata is a good player but coming to a league that is unlike any other he's played in before and it will take time for him to settle.

Evidently but to simply presume that players A, B, C & D will score 150% more league goals than last season whilst playing the same negative football is baffling.

and i've no doubt that, the season before, you crucified klopp for being outscored by - and finishing below - west ham.
bournemouth finished over 20 points below united, and i don't recall their european final, so it's an amusing little fact no doubt, but not hugely relevant.
