And of course tory with wouldn't dare go near a real person and actually takl to them, she's scared of the public cause she knows everything her party does is against them.

FFS firefighters did everything they could durning this fire and a few weeks later the Tory's are celebrating not giving them a pay rise, won't provide suitable accomodation to the survivors oh and tried to charge them fecking rent.

OP come at me with a proper rebuttal

Either he doesn't have one (strange to write an article about it if he doesn't) or he is too afraid to give it.

OP you've got the majority of peoples opinion now after 100 comments, most of us think more should be done and just throwing the survivors into any apartment doesn't simply resolve the situation.

Time to say what you think here otherwise people are making assumptions of what you think.

Of course the survivors of this disaster should be accommodated in not just finding somewhere to live but financially as well. None of this is their fault. RDD got his knickers on a twist the other day because I mentioned that the majority of survivors are classed as working poor. This description has come from the people themselves.

I don't know why people repeatedly call for RDD to get banned. The bloke is pure comedy gold.

Criticising any of the victim’s actions is absurd unless you can directly relate to their situation.

I can only imagine if all my possessions/home were lost, and relatives/friends/neighbours burnt to death, would my subsequent thought process be unaffected. Not so sure...

Compounded by the fact that many of the Grenfell residents knew their homes were a fire risk, and had spent years (unsuccessfully) campaigning for safer housing.

I have mentioned on other threads but this tragedy has all the hallmarks of Hillsborough.

As horrific as this whole thing has been, I was really annoyed with the woman on GMB yesterday.

She was on there with her 5 kids shouting how she "won't pay no rent" whilst she is being put up in a hotel.

I'm sorry but where does this sense of entitlement come from???

Oh dear lord what is happening to society

They need to find it then don't they, you telling me there isn't any gov owned accomodation in that area of London?

The Government must do everything within their power to make life as comfortable for these people as possible, just finding any old house is not good enough.

It's not like these people are looking for a free hand out, this is the impression I get from you correct me if I'm wrong, they have lost their homes / possessions due to Gov negligence, negligence that was highlighted to the Gov multiple times who decided to take the cheaper option on the cladding and now 1oos ( I don't believe the released figure for a second) are dead directly due to this cost cutting measure.

It's a Government failure of it's people, the people elected MP's are paid to protect and do everything in their power to make the people of their constituency lives better.

I used to be like that until one year I lost my job, got benefits and realised that it's scary how close to the breadline we all can be without realising it.

To add to the above, if this was some bunch of junkies looking for a handout, who were offered a home but refused it then that is a totally different story.

But these people lost everything due to Gov ignorance / cutbacks and because of this their elected MP's must do everything they can to help these peole get their lives back together.

Compassion and empathy are yesterday's news to some. Still think the vast majority are humane enough t help a person in need. Look at the response from volunteers afterwards.

I'm not even from th eUK and it really bothers me that the tory's can spend 1bn to cling to power, going into Gov with a party like the DUP but they won't give police / nurses etc a pay rise and can't find suitabke acconodation in London for the people who survived.

But happy to give 1bn to a bunch of 18th century neanderthals who will be buring tri colours in afew nigth stimes, dancing around a bonfire celebrting a battle form 1697 fought by the Dutch.

FFS think about this

The reaction fo the local community must be appluaded they've been excellent.

This is something you really notice in the UK at times like these, local people come out in their droves to do what they can, really good to see, I like how locals just take it upon themsleves to go out and do what they can.
