Can we now finally put an end to the myth that "Arsenal don't spend money"

Erm, everyone else already has. Years ago. Good effort though.

His style of play is nothing like Heskey.
His scoring record is far superior.
What exactly is the similarity. Oh they are both black.

Racist caaaaant.

They are the one single example of a club demonstrating you can indeed be a contender without joining in the new age of huge transfer fees and obscene wages.

Manchester United, Arsenal, City

Spurs finished above all of them. With the money you guys spent, that is an embarrassment to football.

But it shows that sometimes good things do happen

Are you just killing time waiting for the bus to arrive, or something?

11 caps for France, 1 goal, 52m quid!

I could be doing Heskey a disservice here, he had an International record of 1 in 9

Spurs can hardly take the moral high ground about any transfer policy because down the years they've pretty much tried them all.

The only reason Spurs aren't spending as much as other teams is down to needing money for the new stadium - which is being build to create more financial muscle to 'compete' in the transfer market with other teams.

In the past Spurs have gone down the route of splurging sh*tloads on instant impact players, other times they've bought young players with potential with a eye to selling and profitting from them.

Its only now that they are perhaps taking - it remains to be seen - a more considered approach in the transfer market while others seemingly are spending big that they and Levy are getting credit for running a good ship.

Not really the case down the years though is it? Spurs have spent plenty, sacked plenty of managers, and spent plenty more under Levy. If you chuck enough sh*t then eventually some of it will stick, which is possibly what we are now seeing with Spurs.

Once the stadium is complete and the revenues are flowing, will Spurs still be operating the same policy, or will they be splurging money like yesteryear? Will Spurs fans change tack if they do chuck money around and say 'well, its only what other clubs have been doing'?
