Was always going to be behind Kasper, but he clearly signed with the view he could win the no 1 spot. Got his chance when Kaper got injured and was not very good.
Goes with my best wishes but not fussed at all he's gone.
Not overly fussed he's gone as he certainly didn't inspire confidence, but wasn't in a rush to see the back of him. Presumably this just means we're going to have to find a replacement. I always think back up goalkeeper is a strange slot to fill as you need a decent player at our level, but balanced against getting someone who's prepared to come knowing he won't play.
I'd much rather see us lose one or two of the midfielders or strikers we've got who might release funds to allow us to improve and upgrade our squad. Then I hear we're looking to sign Ulloa up on a new deal.
Probably best for him. Decent shot stopper but failed to have any command over his penalty area.
We will need a replacement of some sort though. Hamer isn't up to standard as a Premier League number 2.
Dung i disagree was more comfortable in the air the air than Kasper well so's my 5'1" daughter. But good luck to him i hope he can prove those who wrote him off wrong.
Now who are we going to bring someone who's not a threat to Kaspers position and would push kasper forward. Or another guy whos prepared to be benched for the next three seasons.
Nev, I swear you must our goalkeepers with a blindfold on.
Yes, it was Zieler. Phew! glad we have sold someone.
Who will be the first outfield player out of the door?
Mendy?
Wish Zeiler well, but unlike blind Nev, I could see that he had too many faults to make the number 1 spot his own and was nowhere near Kasper's level.
The likes of Jakupavic (sp) would be an excellent replacement. Steady as a stand in, and probably happy to be so at that stage of their career.
I don't think Nev views players by their ability on the pitch, I think he views them as to whether they were part of the gang that tried to get his bezzie mate the sack.
So until every single player and coach that has had any association with Nigel Pearson has gone, they are all forever doomed to be belittled and disrespected by Nev.
Forget about the politics as a former goal keeper i see traits in Kasper which limit him. As for Zeiler you don't play in the German top league for all those years and become pooh overnight nor do you make the German world cup squad. Do you think if Kasper was German he would be the number one or number two Choise in the German team????
What he gives in our team is his leader ship not the command of his penalty box his kicking which when he is on his game is the best in the premiership and some one for me to shout at when hes glued to the line putting his defenders under pressure.
its only an opinion and if we all had the same one it would be very odd and finally welcome back TB after your summer break.
Kapser's got a Premier League winners medal and just reached the quarter finals of the Champions League saving two penalties against Seville in the process.
Doesn't sound very limited to me but I'll bow to your expert knowledge and experience as the shot stopper for Anstey Nomads or whoever it was.
Nev, it's one thing pointing out Kasper's flaws - aerial ability has always been his biggest struggle, although I have seen notable improvements over the years. But are you really saying you thought Zieler was good in the air? If you accuse Kasper of staying on his line too much that must make Zieler 10 yards behind the goal. He was bad with crosses and slow off his line. For what he showed here - which I don't believe was his best considering his reputation - he was worse than Schmeichel in every single aspect of his game.
And there is no doubt in my mind that Schmeichel would have got into the German squad ahead of him if Schmeichel himself was German. Not as number 1 of course as Neuer is probably the best keeper in the world, but I'm not arguing that.
Zieler = the German Rob Green.
Yeh See the stars i had a very bang average coach for a long time you won't of heard of him His name was Gordon banks
That's all very well Nev, but he's no Mike Stowell.
Kapustka having a medical at Freiburg for loan move!
Interesting that it should be a loan move rather than a permanent. Perhaps the management still see sufficient potential in him.
There must be some potential, he's a full International isn't he?
I'd like to see more of him, but he hasn't really warranted a run out whilst he's been here, so a loan sounds sensible.
its a year long so he's going to get a good opportunity to come back or getting another club
Good Luck Ron Robert at Stuttgart, particularly as it doesnt look like he'll be playing against Leicester any time soon. Can't quite agree with Nev that he was better than Kasper though !!. Thats like saying Mark Grew was better than Wallington or Spider was better than
Kevin Poooooole
So who will come in as no 2. Are we back in for Jakupavic.
And whoes going to Carlisle for the Checkertrade Trophy. Bet somebody will.

Looks like we've found his replacement.
