Had a tough start to his Liverpool career. Knuckled down and became a solid player for us!

I wish him well in Italy

Will miss him, great servant but he wasn't going to get much playing time this season.

I kind of hope someone shouted "unluckyyyyyyy" to him as he left Melwood for the last time though

Who is our longest serving player now then? Henderson?

Sad to see him go but probably the best move for both parties. He deserves more playing time than he was getting at this stage in his career and he could probably play on for four or five years in Italy.

He fell short of ten full years at the club by a whole 7 days but it sounds like he won't be getting a testimonial anyway. Hopefully we'll see him back someday.

Top lad, like everyone I had major doubts but he had some excellent periods for us.

He was absolutely flying under Kenny and then got the injury at Chelsea, had he stayed injury free then he could have been a much better player.

He lost any sort of pace he had after the second injury and was never the same again, his hard work to get through several set backs including let's it forget him being booed by a section of the crowd at one point, was noteworthy and he was a great influence on the squad by all accounts everyone loved him.

Had Phil Neville not handled that shot on the line at Goodison he could have had such a different career

I remember Eamon Dunphy labelling him the worst player to ever come out of Brazil on Irish tv.

Dunphy is a clown and was spouting rubbish as usual but it was bloody funny.

To say that for someone making 24 appearances for Brazil and 10 years at Liverpool must be a clown. There were worse Brazilian players in the PL alone like Kleberson.

Good luck to him. I still remember his best season and period leading to his game at Chelsea in the league cup game when we won under Dalglish. He was excellent but got a bad injury during the game and then never reached the same level again. But still was covering well when replacing first centre backs and holding midfielders. That is why I feel we need a replacement. He played his part last season. His assist to Can for that crucial goal at Watford.
