Crazy init.
In my opinion good defenders shouldn't need to use their pace to bail themselves out of trouble all the time. Good positioning would sort that out.
I'd say it's his strongest asset. Maybe that's better worded.

On a serious note, I've never rated him
Makes far too many mistakes. Not very comfortable on the ball.
Uses his pace (his only asset) to bail himself out of trouble by knocking over the guy who dispossessed him and giving away a silly free kick in the process not too far from your penalty area.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
His mistakes were cut down a lot in his final season. Or even make that the last couple of seasons. Likewise for England he improved in that time. And he had plenty of matches where he was contender for MOTM.
Some people don't seem to have appreciated that he improved significantly towards the end of his Spurs career.
Pace (and actually more importantly acceleration) are probably the most important things in a full back. Some wingers are good at football and move themselves you see.
He's an extremely clean striker of the ball, got his fair share of assists and is decent in the air for a fb.
I think he may kick on under Pep (although I'll happily admit I thought he was poor on his inside channel a couple of seasons ago).

Spurs are weaker now than this time last season. Wouldn't be surprised if they finished 5th

Yep, one place behind the rent boys again😂
Walker was my Spurs poty until the last 2 months or so.
Outstanding until then

Walker took his game as high as it is ever going to be at Spurs. Good move for both parties, with Walker clearly not having his head right at spurs and Trippier breaking through to be as good a player, cashing in for 50 mill was a no brainier for Poch especially as they seemed to have fallen out.
Equally though i get Kyle's point regarding trophies. He will win more trophies at City or trophies in general for that matter.
Good points robbing. Pace is important for a fullback but I don't think it should be used all the time to get yourself out of trouble which I what I felt Walker would do. Also whenever I watched him, he'd give away silly free kicks because rather than clean tackle a guy, he'd just shove the guy down onto the ground. Weird player. Like he doesn't know that, that would result in a foul. Let's see if Pep improves him
Pep usually wants his fullbacks to go into the centre quite frequently to cover the midfielders, gonna be interesting to see how Walker manages with that.

By Walkers words it sounds like they don't have a plan to bring that final piece in, of course they would've discussed who to bring in with Walker to urge him to stay unless they didn't care he left or wanted to cash in on him, of course just an assumption. Let's see what they do with this 50m.

Why would Poch tell Walker his plans? Poch wanted him out and that is why he has gone!

Hahaha yes, even if he wanted to sign a new deal, Poch still wanted him gone

"It's nothing more than a bonus that I've also managed to triple my wages, the only thing I'm bothered about is that edge to win trophies"
"also, my game time would have been limited if I'd have stayed, because everyone's just realised that Tripps is better than me anyway"
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This is the danger with Spurs right now. As impressive as they've been the last two years, particularly last season, because they don't met the wages their rivals can boost until they starting win things heads can be turned remarkably quickly.
Walker for 50mil is fine, I think anyone Spurs fan or not would agree that's an acceptable/replaceable loss, but there aren't too many others in that squad who are. They NEED a trophy next season, could be the difference between an emerging force or a flash in the pan contender.
Fack Walker his a waaaanker who lets his dog eat his missus out.
He can say all he wants about these world class at city but we've better than them the last two seasons and I expect we will be again this season.
Fans of teams that have the mentality of spoilt rich kids in Hamleys are funny aren't they!
Nothing wrong or inaccurate about what he said.
Why do people get personally offended?
We did come close to winning it twice and we did lack an edge to get over the line. City do have the better players and potential to win it over Spurs.
A great move for Walker himself and depending how we spend the handsome sum of £50m it could be a great move for us too. I don't have much faith in the latter though.
Buying low selling high , in this market is not going to happen.
Spurs are going to struggle with that mind set imo.
In other words, we just didn`t have that little bit of refereeing favouritism to make the difference
meh. no hard feelings. don't wish any bad on him, don't wish any good on him either. overall did well for spurs and was with us a long time.
I find it funny though when players who are regulars pipe up about not having the edge to get over the line and win the league or a cup, when they are part of the problem.... same with modric piping up about how he wanted champions league football...... well we missed out that season on GD to arsenal, so if you had played a little bit better in the season we probably would have had it !!!

Another epic fail
Bournemouth were awarded the most penalties last season, which makes a change from Pool I suppose
Ah, the old 'Walker relies on his pace to get out of trouble' point. Such a dated argument.
