VdV > Totti

I agree VdV drops deep quite often, but then again, so does Rooney.

I'll wait to see how the relationship blossoms with VdV and Ade. I'm confident they'll compliment each other and hopefully VdV will reach his full potential now we actually have a decent striker

yeah now he's got better quality to play of off, then maybe we'll see the very best of him....

and totti must be like about 50 by now surely......

Totti is and always has been miles ahead of VDV. He's up there with the likes of Davids and Nedved as true legends of the game from Serie A and could have played for any top side if it wasn't for his dedication to Roma.. Which I think is quite admirable.

+ at 34 he still has a few years left (look at Zanetti, Inzahgi, Milito etc)

VDV was an incredible signing though and still a great player.. Just not in the same bracket as Totti.

U suppose he's got 6 years to catch up on though

Totti: Apps - 613 Goals - 262
Del Piero: Apps - 678 Goals - 284

Totti has a highergoals to game ratio

Both legends. Both far greater than RVD

He's been there almost as long as I've been alive!!!

I like how he's only ever played for Roma though, not many top players do that nowadays! He's been captain since 97! That's nearly 15 years

I personally think that the introduction of Adebayor won't mean that VDV is better, all it'll do is prove that the system is the problem, not the players. Everyone always canes our strikers but they didn't seem that bad getting us into the CL did they? Adebayor will be as isolated as Defoe, Crouch and Pav were. It doesn't matter how good you are if you're not seeing the ball. Ade will score most of his goals with 2 up top, guaranteed.

Until VDV does not spit in someone's face, Totti remains ahead of him...
