What I haven't seen so far is any sort of attacking style in the final third of the pitch, one of our big failings last season. In fact, I though we played better in the first two pre-season matches against Kiddie and Telford than in the subsequent two. The big question is, is this what we have to accept from Bruce? If he can't offer more, then we won't get promoted. We need goals. We have to scare the opposition; at the moment we're not troubling any team enough.
The good news is that a defence with Terry and Chester at it's heart looks solid. We could be the meanest defence in the league. But on its own it won't win promotion.
We ought to be a team which carves up the weaker fry. But we aren't, I don't think we will be, and it will cost us.
I predict an average start to the season. Some will say give Bruce more time, best man for the job, etc, etc. Some will say he's not good enough, get rid. For me, I'm with the latter. I still hope he'll do it. But I have strong doubts and I think this is his last chance.
One of the best squads in the division, the one thing holding you back is your overrated manager. Won't finish top 6
Looking forward to the season.
I think Bruce is naturally a cautious manager and to be fair to him, his record suggests he knows how to get teams out of this division.
I think he needs a good start and the momentum and positive feeling will be a major factor in helping push us towards the top of the division.
A bad start and the fans will turn on him quickly.
I think we will be very solid, but we still need to play to the players we have strengths including Hogan and Houriane.
Just beaten Duisberg 3-0. Good attacking play. Duisberg lack a bit of quality but they're a typical German side, very fit and they press in attack. Defence lead by Terry stood firm.
Green scored with a good strike, and Hogan scored two great goals. He is fast.
If Bruce keeps them playing like this might change my mind.
Hertha Berlin coming up.
And beaten Hertha Berlin, 2-0. Not as good as the first game but OK. And we've won a cup

Stop laughing at us Chronic
Gaillhaus - from what the Dr has said your list is probably at least four players too long. Who to chuck?
Amavi - looks worse every time I see him. Can't tackle, passes into trouble.
Bacuna - we've seen his best bits, the dross is still there.
Adomah - not a bad player, but it's getting crowded on the right, by probably better players overall
Steer - think he's OK but needs to go out on loan, if that will get him game time.
There might be one or two unexpected departures.
Elphick, Veretout, Gardner, McCormack for definite I think
Toner, Tshibola on loan
Richards played a part in preparation season so see what he does
Veretout the first one out, 4 year deal with Fiorentina for around £6m
Good deal for us. Please McCormack to Sunderland.
Nathan Baker to Bristol city didn't see that one happening
Nor me Im not sure if this is right...................he was really good at times but error prone.
Good luck to him
