Here's the full inverview, so now you can hear him speak about what he thinks:

He could genuinely mean that and I wouldn't expect him to say otherwise. I'm certainly not happy with a squad that is weaker than last seasons, a season where we couldn't compete on all fronts to a reasonable degree.

I agree, the squad needs strengthening. God only knows wot Levy is going to buy at the last minute.

Yes we have lost Walker but each year Kane, Alli, Eriksen etc have all improved and I expect them to do so again next season so in theory we will be stronger and more experienced.

I think Winks is going to have a big season and I still think Onomah is going to get tongues wagging next season.

Im sure we will bring a couple in to strengthen us.

I still expect us to finish top three again.

£45m + £5m add-ons was enough for Walker. Is Winks at that level?

I remember when Sherwood was apparently happy with the squad we had too during the Jan transfer window he was in charge, despite our striker situation being poor. I think these managers know they have to make do with these limitations Levy puts them under and they accept it, when really they'd want other signings if they could.

Why are you clowns talking about selling price for our players?
We are not selling our team.
Yes we did sell Walker, But that was because he wanted to leave. He had a falling out with Pochettino. If Walker had not done so, he would not have been sold.
Remember Townsend?
Now stop this nonsense Dier is happy. He's still got a lot of progress to make before he's tops, but he is coming along under Pochettino.

Last season a few of our best players were injured for more than quarter of the season (especially Kane and Rose) otherwise we would've finished even closer to Chelsea in the league, but we still need to strengthen our squad and buying an attacking midfielder with Mahrez's quality would do nicely!

Poch is happy having a weaker squad (at the moment) than last season?

Perhaps he means the squad he has is a year more mature than the one he had last season and the players on the cusp have improved to the point of breaking through to the first team...anyway,I expect a few players in to replenish the "nearly men" who have moved up a notch.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Really? I honestly don't expect anyone right now, doesn't seem as we're anywhere close to signing anyone that will improve the squad.

In the FA semi I felt by bringing N'Koudou on Poch was making a "this is my only facking option here" point after Chelsea had brought on Costa and Hazard. We are now weaker than then, having sold a first teamer to a top 4 rival - regardless of whether Poch wanted him gone it not. Therefore, I can't imagine Poch is happy with the squad, and I'm certainly not happy with it either. It wasn't strong enough last season and won't be again. I get you could say Winks and Lamela will be like new signings, and Onomah and KWP may make the jump, but it's if's. We had our fair share of injuries last term, if we get them again we'll struggle. We absolutely need better quality in depth. And we'll make signings, but as usual they'll be rushed and potentially ill considered, when we could've identified the right players and have them with us in the US. Same old same old, club policy stopping us from capitalising on some great progress on the pitch.

Well said

No doubt someone will come along soon and say everything Spurs do is perfect, we can't spend £150m or £180k a week contracts blah blah blah.... and conveniently overlook the fact that with good scouting we can find players with high potential or players on the fringes at the bigger clubs that we could sign.
