I've seen both stats and Umtiti's defensive stats aren't higher per game, thats a statement you need to back up because ive not seen any evidence? Laporte rejected a move to City so not about quality or lack of.

Couldn't care less about international duty or selection, just manager preference. Nainggolan retired at one point because he wasn't getting picked and so have other quality players in the past.

Even if Umtiti was having a better season you've not backed it up at all
