The Indian ladies were looking good at one going - not literally of course .
India were never the favourites to even reach the knock outs. This must be a very proud moment for the them. They were very close to winning the WC but nevertheless they didn't and England just held the final nerves better.
ps seems like the ladies in the dressing room were watching the men's last few big tournament matches. They have been pretty good at bottling matches when it matters the most.
Agree. India mens and women lost in a ICC final this year after beating the same opposition in their opening fixture.... lesson here is always go easy with the starters and leave some room the desserts
Again I would say it's no shame in reaching finals especially when no one expected us to reach even knockout stages. I can see lot of improvements in our ladies team and I'm sure in future they will get better with time. It's about time BCCI invests in women's cricket just like they do for our men! Credit to ECB & CA that they have supported big time compared to our useless BCCI.
Now Chupa, which team do u support pal? If Englund then what do u think the whooping they got in last test and also @home? Also Englund were favs to win at home but credit due to our ladies as they fought hard unlike our men!
If you think India weren't favourites to get out of the group, you don't know your women's cricket, my dear old thing.
Pakistan women team deserved to win v South Africa but didn't win. Also they should have beaten West Indies and Sri Lanka but lost and played well v India to restrict them to 169 but collapsed when they chased.Australia should have won semi v India and India should have won final v England. All ifs and buts.In the end, overall the two best teams reached the final though I feel sorry for India.Magnificent spell by Shrubsole won England their 4th World Cup.Well done England.
