Very interesting - heard a rumour about it at the weekend and dismissed it to be honest.

I thought he was playing a deeper role for Motherwell last season?

Either way, I think he brings good experience and fingers crossed he's a good signing.

He'd have been after at least £1200 a week probably so that's a fair statement of intent from United.

I took that with a pinch of salt border. I don't think it would have been a good idea to claim we have money to spend.

I kind of did too, but at the same time wouldn't have been surprised if the money hadn't gone anywhere near the squad.
