Weird dream last night.

PSG were on at the theatre, introducing Ronaldo Naz as their latest signing. It was being televised live. PSG Chairman Berlusconi handed Roberto Carlos lookalike Neymar a blank cheque payable on the condition of winning the CL. Neymar wrote €64M on it, Berlusconi signed, and the crowd roared. In the background, Ronaldo sprinted off on a wooden-surfaced pitch, played a neat one-two with Mbappe, and coolly rolled the ball into the back of the net. They really seemed unstoppable this time, perhaps because there was no opposition team.

Round the back, along a stuffy, dingy corridor next to the dressing rooms was a second, much smaller, dilapidated stage which seemed to be for rehearsals. On it a group of French career theatre actors were trying to comfort a middle-aged colleague was weeping unconsolably at the spectacle that was being provided on the main stage.

Switching off the telly, I turned to my computer and saw a Marca headline. "This is starting to look like a project," it ran. Below it a score. Real Madrid 4-1 Deportivo de la Coruña. The match report below it began (in Spanish) "Real Madrid, in what was far from a foregone conclusion..."

I woke up before I could check what division the match was played in.

I had a weird dream last night actually. I was at my secondary school a a hologram of the Queen was doing history lessons. I bumped into Thierry Henry in the sports hall who was having a vaccine. Saw Will Smith down the road from the school going into ‘his house’. Iran no reason started the third world war, we had to be evacuated to Spain but not before it turned into a sci-fi and we had to battle it little space ships. I woke up just after realising I was a clone when I died.

Haven’t read that yet, but I was thinking on the back side f his commercial comments yesterday that his deadpan delivery is just brilliant. If he writes his own material, the bloke could easily have been a comedian.
