When Camp Nou is redeveloped the’ll get a huge boost in revenue. And I think they still have the highest revenues in football anyway. Barca are a license to print money.
There isn't going to be much of a boost of capacity though? I dont think their stadium is currently reduced anyway? Will be interesting to see the financial impact it will have on them moving - especially as the project will inevitably take longer than expected.
The one room for growth they do have though, is that they haven't made much money from player sales unlike most other teams in the deloite top 10.
I suspect they’ll be increasing ticket prices as well due to better facilities.
I think this summer is just an example of Barca’s ability to find money to invest in the team. They’ll keep doing it because they have to remain successful. It’s their raison d'etre.
Plus they don’t even need to be spending the sort of money they have been anyway. They just need to not be completely incompetent in the transfer market.
Would be interesting to see how demand would match the increase in ticket prices, I know they do struggle to sell out at times (only had 20,000 vs Soeciedad according to internet? Was there COVID restrictions in La Liga this season?).
I don't think they will fall away btw, just without their financial dominance they have to be highly competent to compete. Something we haven't seen from the club in about a decade.
But as I say, they’ll still have a massive financial advantage over the rest of La Liga which is what will allow them to compete. And I don’t think they’ll even need to be highly competent to achieve that. Especially because, as ioag mentions, Madrid are very much capable of making stupid decisions anyway.
Twill be interesting to see, I imagine with the decreased revenue in moving to the new stadium they potentially could be selling even more of their TV rights next season - especially if they don't perform on the pitch.
Possibly, but they won’t need to spend as much next summer I’d have thought given what they have in the squad now. We’ll see what Xavi can get out of them, I think they’ve enough in their squad to win the league providing he gets them to gel.

Same as they will be signing Ndombele
Not sure they can afford him to sit on the bench.
They are getting him as a loan apparently
You must be paying his wages then.
I think with Marseille last season we covered some of them so I think it’d be the same
I think it’s a good signing for Napoli, lots of potential upside and at worst you have another body who you aren’t paying much for (and have no responsibility for)

Is it just me or is he a terrible athlete? I think it’s the same with Pogba. I get that their attitude is an issue, but I also come away thinking how are these guys so facked after 60 minutes in a game?
