Wenger actually stubbornness not to spend even though they had the financial means to compete for the best players available players, instead bough too many average players (a bit like Chelsea this season) which is why they’re struggling atm. They are now spending but it’s a bit too late.

Meant to respond to this a while ago
We've been spending big for quite a while, just on the wrong players. Although we've been getting a lot of it back through player sales last coupla windows
That was unreal from Ronaldo.

Ronaldo’s just insane man.
Not good enough. Should've had at least 4.
He's getting there though.
Cristiano Ronaldo becomes the first player ever to score in 10 straight Champions League games. Ruud van Nistelrooy set the previous record (9) in 2003.
man I miss Ruud

Here, how come?
'Ello matey.
You were looking forward to this tie. Just wondered what your thoughts would be.
Missed it as was playing football unfortunately but I am surprised about the result. Seems like an impressive result, how was the performance?
Not to be intentionally controversial, but I’ve never been as big a fan of over head kicks. Whilst impressive athleticism is often very hit and hope-y
Was a pretty even game until we got the second. Iy completely knocked the stuffing out of them; Dybala gothim stupidly sent off just a couple of minutes later and that was it.
The Juve crowd gave Ronaldo an ovation for it.

Ronaldo had been trying to pull one off for about 6 years.
You know it’s special when the opposition gives you a standing ovation.
Confident of winning the CL now, ioag? Madrid looking like the team they were last season now. On this form they’ve gotta be favourites to win it again.
I dunno I’ve never been a fan of goals that, while good, have a great deal of luck (like Giroud’s scorpion), much prefer goals which are completely intentional and executed perfectly, like this:

this is true
law of averages he had to get one right
Never confident of winning it, Daz, much less this year.
If anything it's looking harder than any of the previous 3.
City have been the best side this season.
Messi loves playing us.
Bayern will be thirsty for revenge.
Liverpool are a different animal on European k.o. nights.
And as if all that wasn't enough, Atleti are already out.
Mex is having a meltdown on Twitter, he should come back to United
