Which isn't really standing-ovation worthy. Seems all a little noncey to me.

It was his sixth game for Madrid vs Juve. He's scored in every single one. The overhead kick was his 9th against them in that time.

Cherry on the cake, maybe.

PSG, Juve, Liverpool and then Barca would be a pretty incredible run.

Filtered by Winston. A new low.

He's always right you know.

Stretty, VC and Winston all very similar from the United board.

Liverpool immense tonight.

Watching them play like that under Klopp is so hard.

We'd have got him if it wasn't for Ed facking Woodward and his stupid 'Disneyland' analogy.

Didn’t think he was interested in leaving Dortmund at the time regardless. Sucks seeing him at Liverpool. Has his flaws but would make a great United manager.

Still the lack of trophies will hold him back imo

Yeah I was half joking. He said he had unfinished business at Dortmund at the time.

It's a shame because he'd have fitted in equally as well at United as he has done at Liverpool I think.

He was the ideal man for both clubs.

To an extent but nights like tonight show real progression on the pitch for Liverpool.

You can't help but admire and be anything other than impressed by their approach, especially against a side like City and in such a big game.

Yeah definitely. I like the bravery to really go for it against the big teams that his teams play with. It’s similar to how we were back in the 90’s and early 00’s. Even though we were probably better in the late 00’s we played more pragmatic in bigger games than in that era.

Fair point

Liverpool were immense btw, but Peps tactics were so wrong if that was Poch I would be screaming. Playing Laporte LB vs Salah was as bad as us playing Son LWB vs Chelsea.

Really unpopular opinion but I am quite a Lovren fan, in the right system he would be much higher regarded. The non-sweeping CB role is always judged more harshly.

Can’t blame the system for the absolutely ridiculous amount of mistakes he makes.

I was a fan of lovren at Southampton and wanted us to sign him. But he's had far too many shoddy moments for Liverpool.

Probably still better than Mustafi though

I think you can, in the sense that a prime John Terry would make heaps of mistakes under Klopp as well. He is a very good low block defender, but very limited otherwise and one of the worst CBs when ‘exposed’ in the top 6. I wouldn’t take him at Spurs but think he would be highly regarded at Chelsea or Utd.

I thought he got it wrong with Gundogan too. I sort of get why he started but I was surprised he did after being so poor at Anfield in the league. They missed Sterling's energy, his ability to press and offer an outlet.

posted on 4/4/18

Yeh with Robertson playing a quick RW like Sterling would have pinned the LB back rather than the shiiiit show that Gundogan produced.

I’m not really convinced by Gundogan, I can’t see why people rate him.

posted on 4/4/18

Not having that, Edin. He’s made more mistakes leading to goals than pretty much any defender since he’s been in the prem. It’s his brain not the system that is the problem. He’s capable of being very good when completely switched on but he just doesn’t have the concentration. Some of his defending has been absolutely comical and is nothing to do with any system, it’s just him.

So in Spanish eat = comes but eats = come.

That is so confusing.
