That’s fair. I think Sterling is much more productive on the right that’s for certain. I guess he likes the balance of 4/5 ‘10s’ at the moment and Raheem plays more like a 10 on the left whereas on the right it’s more as a finisher
Big (and fortunate) win against Elche. Atleti still crawling towards the finishing line
Hope they finish fourth.
Big win for Brighton. Welbeck’s goal was class.
atleti defended deep for an hour after going 1-0 up to Elche
Simeone will never learn
v lucky not to concede at that the end...with that pen miss

still in hospital
nothing serious, just a few problems with heart rhythm after pacing wires were removed
so be out of hospital tomorrow
So you don't need a pacemaker on a regular basis then?

nope.
they just dripped through magnesium for a few hours and things got back into rhythm
so far, i've been very lucky with avoiding some of the more serious complications following heart surgery
That's great. So will you still have to observe a lot of precautions once you're home, or haven't they told you yet?

as ive now got a mechanical heart valve, i'll be using warfarin lifelong ...so i've got all the precautions centred around keeping my INR in the therapeutic range
I see. Do you need any other medication to prevent rejection, or is the warfarin enough? And other than that, do you have any limitations as regards physical exertion, stressful activities or the likes?
On an entirely separate note, just been looking at Valencia's fixtures after the Barcelona game. They're only 6 points off the relegation places and this is what's in store for them:
Valladolid (H)
Sevilla (A)
Eibar (H)
Huesca (A)
That's 3 of the sides that are battling relegation, and both Eibar and Huesca won yesterday, so Valencia ought to be extra motivated for their game against Barcelona tonight.

you dont need anti-rejection drugs for a mechanical heart valve and aortic graft tbh
warfarin to prevent clots developing on the mechanical valve
i'm on a few medications like beta blockers ...but eventually i'll be off them once my heart has recovered from the trauma of surgery
i'll be slowly be building up my exercise tolerance over the coming 6 months...but should be at least as fit as i was just prior to surgery...where i was able to run 10km at a decent pace no probs
being on lifelong blood thinners will mean contact sports are probably too dangerous for me
but weaned myself off playing football once i got into my 40s anyway
i agree, hopefully valencia give a decent account of themselves against farza...they arent safe yet !
Right. So all in all, that's a great outlook as regards quality of life. The medication is a pain I suppose, but it's fully justified and all things considered it's a small price to pay.

yes, i'll be back to normal soon enough
just best to avoid contact sports...not a good idea to get a whack on the head if you're on blood thinners
bioprosthetic tissue valves (made from pig/cow or horse) generally dont need anti-coagulation treatment
however, in someone my age who's still physically quite active, it would probably fail within 10-15 years..and I've to go through surgery again
mechanical valve should last me the rest of my life, just have to get use to blood thinners
Yeah, it's not like taking your motor in for a tire change
I wonder if we'll face any punishment for today, especially if the game is called off.
shudnt punish the club at all.
that wud just b punshing the fans.
