I’m surprised we haven’t been linked with any A.Madrid players; with Costa likely to move there (maybe not till January) surely it could give us leverage?

We need another CM, the last 2 games although friendlies have shown we are too lightweight with Cesc as one of the 2.

The Matic money is good and Conte must be happy to get rid of him but it leaves us light until Baka is fit.

I agree surprised we're not linked with more wingbacks. Sandro would be perfect but it may not happen. At LWB past Sandro just Alex Telles and Dalbert I can think of (never seen either of them) and RWB there's a few more like Ox (seems to be a target), Aurier (course case on Aug 7 that will decide future entry to U.K. - waiting on that), Cancelo, Ricardo Perriera.

At CM we've also been linked with Barkley, but not more past that. If we plan on switching to 3 in midfield a lot I'd argue we need another midfielder. But then would Baker want to stay as essentially 5th choice

Allegri said recently that Alex Sandro will not be sold this summer, even though Juve have yet to offer him a new improved contract yet. The player on the other hand is not itching for a move so I think we should look other targets like Telles, Bertrand. Four more signings are required

RWB ---------> Aurier, Perreira or OX
LWB ---------> Bertrand, Telles or Ghoulam
CM -----------> Goretzka, Sanchez, Dendoncker or Brozovic
ST ------------> Llorente

I think we may end up with Bertrand as a LWB signing but I hope we don't. Doesn't suit that position imo and unlike Dalbert/Telles not young enough to improve.

Also we've been linked with Renato Sanches. I think Kovacic would be a good option

I'm not going to pretend to be some expert on every player in the world like some people.

As BK said above, based on his performance against us the other week, if we could get Sanches on loan as it has been reported I would be happy.

According to Evening Standard CFC are working in signing four more players, two of three of them are close to signings.

If Conte gets the wing backs a CM and a ST it will be a good transfer window

Renato Sanches could be a goer. One of these loan to buy deals that are all the rage nowadays.

Think he'd be great in the Prem

Goretzka is our guy for cm, it'd be silly otherwise. I'm sure spurs will try to pick him up if we don't move soon.

Is it just me or do all our CMs, that we've had/bought in/still with us (Kante/Matic/Bakayoko) seem to be defensive Mids?

The only one who you could term an attacking CM would be Fabregas and as most probably know, I don't really understand the Cesc 'love in'.

Last season we mostly went with Kante and Matic who, IMO, don't compliment each other, being too defensive.

When Fabregas plays against decent opposition he disappears and we lose the midfield.

Surely there must be a Modric, Racktic type player out there to knit the team together!

For me that is the most important position we need to address, followed by the wing backs and funnily enough the two positions that have been neglected!
