Bit of a leap isn't it? A youth team player going on loan means a £50m player will be signed?

Exactly my thoughts.
People seem to think youth players/players who barely played last season and leave need replacing.
He's knocking on the door for a first team birth so yea I think he will need to be replaced. It makes even more sense when you factor in the sale of ross

Don't be sensible, it's clear that Dowell after winning the U20wc with England is unwanted and we are making space to resign Fellaini.
The whole Sig chase is just cover

But he barely played last season so why would he need replacing?
We have Ryan Kent and Woodburn knocking on the door for first team opportunities but neither would need to be replaced if they went on loan tomorrow.
Who cares about Kent and Woodbine.....
Not Everton fans
My point is, you have a lad who has made 2 PL appearances in his career (and none last season) and you're talking about needing to replace him with a 50 million pound player
He might well be a great wee player, never seen him play, and I think Siggy will move to Everton but it's not to replace a lad who didn't play a game for you last season.
