Agree on Mahrez. Disagree on Gray.
One is proven, the other has proven nothing for me yet.
If amahrez goes, Gray needs to step up. If he stays, Gray should be given the chance over Albrighton in some games this year where we're need less focus on remaining defensively strong.
It's up to him whether he takes that chance. But he's already paid a boat load to do very little so far. I'm not ready to throw cash at him yet.
Wot happened to all the Leicester fans who were on a ja a few years back giving it the Barry Mcguigan
Seem like a fair weather bunch to me

You're asking that to the people that are still here? Maybe they're too busy celebrating a major league title in the last 2 years as opposed to 2 decades.
Also, what's the score with Schmeichel in pre season? Have I missed something or is he off?
Mersey,
not sure I agree with picking Gray over Albrighton in certain games........there are no easy matches and in my opinion Albrighton is well worth his place every week thanks to his all round contribution. If Mahrez stays I suspect Gray will continue to be more of an 'impact sub' than a regular starter. UTF
Whilst I agree with you DDF, we are basically saying gray offers nothing as a starter if we take that stance.
He should get opportunities and it's up to him to show why he should be picked ahead of Albrighton.
"Chilwell and Gray represent the future of Leicester City."
That's the pertinent statement isn't it, the "future", Chilwell comes across as the ultimate Professional while Gray comes across as an egotistical kid.
Being the "future" means biding your time in the squad, stepping up when required, not smoking iffy stuff and keeping your head down.
I know 100% which one I think will be a future England International.
The argument that Mahrez is better than Gray is clear but may not be relevant.
If Mahrez doesn't leave this month, he will be gone by January so the discussion is whether we persist with Gray or start from scratch elsewhere.
Interestingly (if rumours are to be believed) there are some top coaches out there who think he has the potential.
No doubting his potential Prawn. But Ravel Morrison had the potential to be the best player in the league according to many coaches including the best coach this country has ever seen.
Ultimate it meant nothing!
Now I'm not comparing Gray's attitude with that of Morrison, but for me he is clearly making a lot of noise about not playing. That's fine if you are evidently better than those ahead of you, but Gray is clearly not!
He should look at Albrighton as an example. Out of the team for a considerable period, but when he did break in, he's been one of our key players.
Agreed, Mersey. Gray has a ton of natural talent but there are lots of examples of others who have had that but whose careers went astray. You mentioned Ravel Morrison and I would add Adnan Januzaj to the list. I really hope that Gray goes on to become a superstar (either here, or elsewhere with suitable add-on/sell-on clauses) but it's not a given. He needs to work for it, learning along the way. Do our coaches have what it takes to get the best out of him over the next couple of years? I'm not so sure, but I am sure that he would not find things any easier (in terms of playing time) at a top 6 club. UTF
Weve just turned a 20 million bid from Bornemouth down for Gray.
So that says that either we want more than that for him
( remember we may have to pay a percentage to Birmingham as part of a sell on clause) or the club see him as a big part of our future , particularly if Mahrez goes.
Maybe Micole Appleton can get the best out of Gray.

Don't disagree with you on the attitude point Mersey but he is not alone in that.
A couple of developments today - according to Sky Sports.
Firstly (as Legless has just pointed out) we have apparently turned down a bid of £20m from Bournemouth. That is a big bid from a club of that size which suggests to me that both Eddie Howe and Leicester rate him more highly than some of our supporters. And secondly, Sky reckon that Roma have turned their attention towards Dortmund's Emre Mor - it is looking increasingly like Mahrez will be here until January so he had better make a statement on the pitch if he wants a move then.
City have turned to Coventry to take on board a young trialist striker (Courtney Baker-Richardson) so I have heard reported on the radio.
A trialist was mentioned by fox tv the other night, but they had no information..
