Klopp failed to win the CL with a much better squad and much better atmosphere at Dortmund
I'm not saying they can't win it cos anything is possible but they have no more hope of winning it than the likes of Sevilla, Leipzig, Benfica, etc

Liverpool's last two campaigns in the CL have ended with exits in the group stage. Maybe that's what he means? Wouldn't surprise anyone if this were the case again given they're 3rd seeds. Could end up in the same group as Madrid and PSG.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Like i said to the other guy, who was their manager then? Because if it wasn't Klopp, then that argument is really mute, they are a different team now.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Are they a different team though? I still see the same problems they had under Rodgers. And Klopp isn't a genius manager, a good one yeah but I wouldn't fancy him to guide this Liverpool team to a CL.
It's possible.
I expect us to get through the qualifier.
After that it's all about the draw.
I would back us against anyone who plays open football, assuming our first team was available at the time.
We would probably get knocked out by the likes of Atleti, Chelsea, Man Utd <yuck>. Teams who would set up with men behind the ball.
Probably lose to Real Madrid too as Zidane is practical and will defend if the tie demands it.
So if the draw and injuries were kind, it's possible.
I don't think any English team will be anywhere near the CL final.
When Chelsea won it they were probably a stronger team than any team in the premiership last season.
Hopefully the English clubs will improve.
When Chelsea won it they were probably a flukier team than any team in the premiership last season.

Can't see us winning it but can see us becoming plucky underdogs which other teams want to avoid.
We were unbeaten last season against the top 8 sides in the league so have shown that we can raise our game when it matters.
OP, If you are willing to blow £20, just give it to me, I'll put it to good use by having a few beers

Depends on the draw. Get a tough group and you'll do well to be another Arsenal and get to the last 16.
Arsenal's record of regularly qualifying and getting out the group stage is remarkable really, got to hand it to them.
Then again you could say the same about their consistency of getting spanked in the second round, regardless of who they play.

Hoffenheim was probably the toughest draw they could've got. Won't be easy at all, I expect Liverpool to not qualify.

There is a bet lost here, did you follow up on this? If not, someone should collect their winnings.
When a team is in the last 8 then obviously they have a 1 in 8 shot at it.
The draw is not even made so if you can get 25/1 good for you.
