Thought we were supposed to be announcing a signing today? So much for that.
It's just another naive and poorly organised transfer window. Same old same old I'm afraid. Don't think this will ever change so long as we have Levy in charge.
We're going to have a quality stadium with a sub-par squad to play in it.

Yeh and you still get certain supporters defending his transfer policy. Pochettino won't be here for long I tell you that now. It's only so many transfer windows he can take of not getting in the required targets early. Another shambles or a levy window. Chronic will be on a minute " transfer window not over yet don" .... f-*** off

Have to hope we can get by without any new signings and all the injuries for the start of the season. Newcastle won't be easy, and Chelsea even tougher. Dropped points in those games and you really can start pointing the finger at the lack of activity.
If you count all the injured players - except Lamela who will never play again - how many first team players do we have? Yes, you can count Janssen and Sissoko.
Fact is we need 22.
Hengy - and 200 million for Neymar was realistic? Anything is possible in this transfer window
Tbf a realistic question would be:
What if us "working hard to sign players" late in the window rather than earlier in the window meant that we didn't get any of our primary targets and had no time to make moves for our secondary targets, thus leaving us with the same squad as last season?
Tbf a realistic question would be:
What if the prices this window and the asking prices have been absolutely obscene and we have players on new contracts and a new stadium to pay for.
What if we had a squad minus one player that achieved its highest points total in the premier league era last season.
Yes we need new players for the squad, and yes we will undoubtedly get them.
These daily updates of individuals disgrhntlement and the same comments by the same individuals are more annoying than the lack of transfers that we're told are on way.
Until then, here's what we have...and it aint half bad according to recent history.
Tbf a realistic question would be:

- Not all prices are obscene. Some are, some aren't. Only so long we can keep on pretending that all prices have been marked up.
What if we had a squad minus one player that achieved its highest points total in the premier league era last season.
- Then we're weaker than last season. Ever heard of the phrase 'if you're standing still you're going backwards'?
Yes we need new players for the squad, and yes we will undoubtedly get them.
- Will they be good enough or will they just make up the numbers like Sissoko, N'Koudou, Janssen and N'Jie did?
These daily updates of individuals disgrhntlement and the same comments by the same individuals are more annoying than the lack of transfers that we're told are on way.
- If the club had put in the work earlier to get the squad prepared for the season there would be fewer dissenters.
Until then, here's what we have...and it aint half bad according to recent history.
- What we have is weaker than last season.

Kind of contradictory?
Sure some signings are reasonable, they would be the N'Jie style signings your bemoaning no? Not many high quality squad signings going for 'reasonable ' figures early on in the window was there?
At this late date nothing is realistic.
Unless Levy is a total fool he must have deals in the works already. If this is not the case Levy will wind up with a mid table team and a disgruntled manager who is off some place more welcoming.
Now then, here's some guess work:
1. Spurs target Toljan valued at £13m (even more likely given Trippier's injury)
2. Giovanni Simeone (Striker, son of Argentine Diego Simeone, well known to Poch)
3. Ross Barkley (maybe, wages and attitude both problems, moving towards MU but could still be in the works)
4. Juan Foyth at 8mGBP is a bargain, but Toljan is better at 13m. Could go for both.
5. Antonio Valencia from MU - a wild card that one!
6. Juan Mata .... well there's more talk in the wind
7. Lucas Ocampos, Argentine forward currently at Marseille, has been around the clubs, Genoa, AC Milan, started at River Plate, still only 23. Very good at Bicycle kicks. Swap for Janssen rumor in the works.
8. Joao Cancelo, yes we've all heard this one - personally I think he's too small for Premier rough stuff, weighs only 159 pounds.
Well, those are some of the rumors, guys - enjoy!

Nothing contradictory from myself as I've been consistent in stating that there is value in the market:
Tielemans - £22m
Dahoud - £10m
But our scouts aren't good enough to locate them. You however are bemoaning the obscene prices yet fail to acknowledge that we are aiding and abetting it by selling Walker for £50m, a sum Monaco then used as a marker for Mendy
Y'all should sign Bale. Just sayin'
remember, Toby Alderweireld still has no new contract!
