I don't give a toss.
Same ish, different day.

So you gotta bury your head in the sand when you win?

I'm in the same boat. We overwhelmed a mid-table side at home in the last 10 minutes thanks to our embarassment of attacking riches. That performance was in no way an encouraging start to the season. Where is the reassurance that this season will be any different from the defensive shambles of the past when we conceded 3 goals from 3 shots on target?

Another mid-70s points tally, choking at key points in the season and the usual under-performance against the big teams beckons this season IMO. I'm not one to bookmark comments but I will be very surprised if I don't look back at this at the end of the season and quietly mutter 'I told you so' to myself.

With 10 mins to go this was still the same old bs

We need a new CB desperately. I dunno why we aren't in for VVD, Southampton would sell him to us at a cut price just so Liverpool don't get him.

Still delighted with the win. Despite all the glaring flaws in our team being exposed, we completely deserved the victory. 2nd half we were miles the better team

Dubbed,
Is your glass always half-empty? Arsenal made a great comeback and THEY WON!!!

Sure there is still work to be done. I suspect that you might be a Spurs fan?

I reckon I would be in this boat if I were an Arsenal fan.

Your central midfield looks like it needs strengthening to me. I think Xhaka will be better this season but Elneny and Coquelin are a bit meh. Ramsey isn't consistent and Cazorla and Wilshere are always injured.

Then it's hard to see you not having problems at the back. You kept a few clean sheets with the back 3 at the end of last season and I think it fooled some people. Across the season you conceded the most of the top 6 and haven't done anything about it. The Bosnian is a good player but he's better going forward than defensively.

Wenger is chasing Lemar but you already have loads of depth in attack.

You should be signing people like VVD and Krychowiak who would probably cost you about £75m between them and would make a big difference to your side IMO.

You will be competitive as usual but it's hard to see much changing.

God sake we won and our fans still moan. Imagine if we lost what the headlines would have been and the reaction of our fans. Yes defensively yesterday was a nightmare however there was no Kos, Mustafi, Mertesacker. Any team would have struggled with make shift defence. Let's be happy with the win and focus on getting players back for the next game.

Spurs fan in disguise? Hardly. Just bored of Wenger. Only way he's leaving is in a casket.
May need to speed that process up.

Seen pinball games that had more control.

VVD is not a centre back like David Luiz. Thats the type of centre back you need if you want to play 3 at the back. And then you still need a Kante type who can sweep in front of the 3.

A 3-4-3 is actually a, 1-2-3.

-------------------------CB/Sweeper-------------------------
---------CB/Right Sided wing-------------CB/Left Sided Wing--

----Wing back-----------Defensive mid-------------Wing Back-------

Now we could use Gabriel as a RB/CB and Monreal as LB/CB

But we still lack that centre back who can read the game. Step into the midfield or drop back and sport the danger. Those type of players are so unique. Thats not Kos or Mustafi in my opinion.

Which is why I have questioned 3 at the back from the very start of its implementation at Arsenal. We have got away with a lot of games last season where teams did not take the CLEAR chances they created. Its only a matter of time our luck would change.

Exactly. It isn't a stable formation. You need a specialised team for that formation with all the players having specific instructions.

Thing is with this Wenger clown, once he does a think he is stuck. No way around.
Never tweaks anything, sits around tweaking his thumb until the 70th min, and is outright predictable.
How does one expect to go far with this guy?
