3 for me. If we had signed both VVD and Keita it would be 5. Salah is a very good signing and Solanke could prove an excellent piece of business. Robertson will offer competition in a problem area last season. Unfortunately the funds are there but the two big players we went after so far seem unattainable. Of course if this stays as it is and we sell Coutinho it will be a 1 for me.
I'm stuck between 2/3 after yesterday's circus. Right now it's a 3, similar reasons to above. But Coutinho leaving and no VVD is a disaster.
Pretty poor window, expected a few more signings. Now it's gonna turn into one where the biggest signing will be keeping Coutinho. Haven't addressed the real weak areas of the team.
I think the weak area was addressed, just not in the proper manner. It seemed nailed on back in June we had van Dijk, then it blew up in our faces.
OK fair point but we still haven't got the players in. Still not as bad as our last CL season, I think we went in with Mario up front.
Last time was bad. Suarez was far more influential than Coutinho and I actually think we struggled more when Mane was missing over Coutinho.
Mane and Salah will give us that width. The problem now though is Coutinho was playing a deeper role sometimes as he can play those passes forward. I don't think Henderson and Can in CM will play the same passes he sees. Only time will tell I suppose.
And, it's if he leaves.

Well that's not really addressing it surely? Addressing would be making the correct signing. We got half way there!
I agree with TOOR in terms of score (3*) and reason.
If we got VVD and kept Coutinho I'd be pretty happy - 4* probably. Not perfect but pretty good.
Got VVD, lost Coutinho - 2*
No VVD, lost Coutinho- 1*
Addressing an issue is bringing attention to it. Solving the issue is a different matter.
We addressed we needed a CB. We solved the matter by upsetting Soton and now we're left with the same CBs that ended last season.
After the failure to get top targets and struggling to hold on to are best player, 2
Abysmal. 1
Almost ended up with a transfer ban over VVD and forced into a humiliating apology to get out of it. Now the club darent put in a bid even though the player wants to join.
Simply can't get deals over the line and it's little wonder players like Cout want to move on when the club is run like a circus.
Overall 1 star for Salah.
