The laws of the game state a free kick is given when a player impedes an opponent or uses excessive force etc. In no way was Mane impeded, he could quite easily have stayed on his feet and carried on with his action. The minimal contact in no way should have been construed as a foul, and Mane`s theatrics were the giveaway sign. Unfortunately, most referees can`t wait to gift the Mousers points.
