I now expect us to win every game. Really pleased, especially for younger son who I brought up to follow Wolves, and who now avidly travels all over to see them.

Did you used to live in Perton ?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No, Trysull. Seisdon Road. Same road as Mick. I was Trysull end, he was Seisdon end.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
That's the house where that midfield lived also, can't think of his name at the mo
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No - no players lived there whilst I was there.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Mick's house not yours wonder if it's owned by the club ?

Aunt and uncle lived in seisdon

No - he rented it. Guy who owned it started Apricot Computers and made a fortune.

I remember that name, was that before or after Apple stared up ?

I do miss Trysull, and everything about that community as my kids grew up. I was on the PTA, then a governor at the school. Was instrumental in starting Trysull Tigers - now a major footballing outfit. I have family down there still, and have a great affection for the area.

Apricot was in the early days. Don't know what happened - could look it up on Google. Probably got swallowed up.

Yeah, Hernandez was down for ages, didn't really see how it happened, a deep cross had come in and he ended up on the deck, ankle or something

Apparently, the referee was in awe of Neves/Saiss/Boly and didn't notice the time had flown

We will be even more awesome! I accept that spending £15 million for Neves, plus other outlays has helped, but that's business.

That's the reality. I'm glad we're in this position.

Just reading that the last time Ipswich won their first 3 games, they were promoted to the Premier league, so what a double that would be if they went up 2nd to us.

He is a class act.

Lambert is a feckin moron.

Saiss' improvement sounds like a big factor in early results. Whether it is time needed to settle in england, improved pre season preparations, playing alongside neves rather than saville or price in CM, or a combination of all that amd more it looks like we might now be getting the player that jeff/mendes promised us.

Not sure i blame PL for saiss inability to pass to a wolves shirt last season tho, or his frequent errors defensively.

Also, last night showed the importance of our squad and why every player nuno has kept hold of can make a difference. Dicko's second winner in 4 games, demonstrating that just because yr not starting doesn't mean you are useless and need to be moved out. Sqiad game and 46 plus matches means we need to support everyone.

If Dicko can do for us what Girpud dpes at Arsenal i'll be delighted

Keep plugging the myth, oh and it seems you missed a midfielder from the list he played with for some agenda.....oops I mean reason.

posted on 16/8/17

The reason for Saiss 'improvement' is quite obvious.

A manager that realises that when you have a midfielder in Saiss who gets on the ball all day long(he did last season also, twice as much as Edwards in many games) then you need to put someone next to him who can also control and pass a ball and is disciplined enough not to go missing up field all afternoon.

Alas Lambert was more impressed with hard running and hoofing it fifty yards to a dwarf than using intelligence to play the game.

6 league goals from 6 different players. 2nd in the league @ 2 goals per game average.

Not bad I'd say and who would have thought that, given our wretched first few fixtures.

I agree gb that it'a a squad game, but I think you're a wee bit off the mark suggesting that Nuno has "kept hold of players". We have a squad of 30 on paper, but I think everyone will agree that he'll only use 23/24 this season for league matches and maybe even less. He needs to keep the same starting line up for as long as possible. That way we can maintain our good start, so there's no need to introduce players like Mason or Edwards who I believe will be detrimental to our amazing start. Zyro seems to be on the back burner right now as well.

Over the moon wolfie, just been looking over last season and the start of this season and the difference is Stark, particularly the midfield two.

Didn't expect us to sign a 20 goal man and still don't but do think we need to add someone else to the ranks going forward yet and almost more importantly a strong back up to Saiss and Neves as Price is the only one we now have who can do the vital job that makes this team tick in getting on the ball all day long and being able to make a pass.
