The problem is Trump has tried to draw wide comparisons between those who are fighting fascism, to fascists.

Antifa are extreme, and their violence should be condemned. But to place them (and their ilk) in the same boat, (never mind the same ocean) as natzis and white supremacists, is part of the problem. Not the solution.

Pretty sure the Obama administration were widely criticized for US intervention(s) in Syria (and elsewhere).

Which is a multifaceted/complex situation involving the interests of many nations. Including Russia.

This does not (in any way) excuse, nor should diminish, the most powerful man on the planet giving political traction to natzis and white supremacists.
