I agree about his recent performance and doubt he'll get anywhere near 30 goals this season. Problem is he's the best we have. If we sell now, where the hell are we going to get a decent replacement from? The lad from Hamburg is total crap apparently and on sky high wages, hence why Hamburg want rid. It's too late to sell Wood now. If we're serious about promotion, we need to keep him this season.
We are giving him the wrong chances. He is a great instinctive finisher, but not as good when he has too much time to think.
Wood had a fantastic season last season, and is a striker who can score plenty at this level.
Leeds fans can be way too quick to turn on players.
If midfield provide he will score a shed load
It's easy to turn one man into a goal machine and Leeds are good at it. All you have to do is play a certain way but that certain way is very limiting.
You end up with a team who all depend on that one man.
We created few chances last season and he got 30 goals.
Okay, he's missed 2 good chances so far. He has also scored against Bolton and scored an 'offside' goal last night.
Ridiculous article.
We create very little and he's scores 30 goals
Feel sorry for the poor b@stard, no help and midfield 30 yards away from him
Most important player by a mile
Don't normal but 1 ⭐️
41 goals in 81 games
Stupid article
WTF, I despair with this board, truly despair.
Cook doesn't score will easily replace him
Snodgrasss isn't fast will easily replace him
Wood rubbish easily replace him
What is this obsession with selling our best players
I know some think am negative about players
But name one I've been negative who is class !!!
Always makes me smile when there's a rumour of a player leaving, he suddenly becomes useless, said to the lads I sit with after half an hour last night if I was Wood in the morning I would be asking my agent where am I going ('was said slightly tongue in cheek)
when a player wants to leave i think its more the fans that had some kind of agenda against him in the first place that say hes no good anyway.
like with monk, a lot of people thought he was very limited as a manager and not too sad to see him go.
Nah
Most thought monk was great, then when he left, he was rubbish

That's cosmost fans are so fickle
One on ones aren't woods strength, he needs the ball playing into him in the box. Look at the goal he scored last night, took it down and buried it. Had that been allowed, as it should've been, then you wouldn't be writing this article.
Ok I understand people's concerns but let's get some perspective here, Last season we all generally agreed he was a God and as someone rightly pointed out on here today he started slow then exploded into form.
We are only 3 games in with a new set up feeling it's way. For crying out loud how would Pele have performed feeding off our midfielders current form?
OMG, Wood has failed to score in the last two games, he must be useless.
Last season he failed to score in the first three games, then scored in the next two, failed again in the following two matches. That was only two goals in seven matches.
By the end of the year it was no better with only 11 goals in 24 games.
And then he only got another 16 in the next 22 games.
Utter pile of pooh, lets get Beckford and Becchio back, there the players to take us up.
Wood is 20+ goals as long as he stays fit in this league. Daft mate
If we get an offer of £15 million + we should take it.
From the player's perspective he should go. His reputation is high now because of last season and we all know that may not be the case in May. He would double, if not treble his £20k per week and set himself up for life. Or conversely he could stay at Leeds and break his leg next week and his future would be different.
Also let me ask you, do you think he would be our first choice striker next season if we get promoted? I think not and that is why football is a dog-eat-dog business and the club and Woods should take the money.
Good luck to the lad.
No we bloody shouldn't
We should never sell our best players
That's not how we will improve, keeping and building upon our best players is the only way to go
If he'd scored his goal against Preston and that one had been allowed against Fulham we'd be top....everyone would be singing everyone's praises.
We are in a good position

Until next season (if promoted) we drop him like a stone. He knows it and will now be unsettled.
I understand what you are saying but I think it is a worthy but blinkered focus that ignores the reality of the situation.
Time will tell.
