Costa is out of line now no doubt but Conte's prior behaviour didn't cover him in glory either
Chelsea and Conte don't want him. Now in a position he's going to leave, should he go to China, where Chelsea want and most likely where he had offers, or try force a move to where he wants to go for less money? Any reasonable person would respect him for that.
You can try say he's being unprofessional about the way he's going about it, part of parcel of how he goes about his business, and that attitude played a big part in Chelsea getting two titles.
Chelsea know their position, they know his position. What do Chelsea gain from not accepting a bid that's maybe what 10m lower than other offers they've had? Nothing. He'll sit around for a year. Choosing to punish a player that's helped them win two titles.
By staying away he's forcing the Atletico move further. Very unlikely anyone else will come in with a big bid that Chelsea will accept for a player that isn't match fit. Inteligent move from Costa.
Juve are the example of a top club, letting Bonucci go to a rival when there were offers of more money because Bonucci wanted to stay in Italy. What a great club, a club that values players that have done well for them.
He's obviously a total belllend.

Chelsea are not trying to sell him to China. Chelsea want what the player is worth in today's market. A.Madrid are offering something like £25m and Chelsea value him at at least double that. Why should Chelsea accept such low offers?

More like losing out on £30m. If Costa gets what he wants what is stopping other players from taking the same stance in future? Sets a bad example. Chelsea need to take strong action on this even if it means making an example out of Costa.

Matic wanted to stay in England so we let him join ManU. Cech wanted to stay in England so we let him join Arsenal. What a great club, a club that values players that have done well for them.

Can you actually believe some Chelsea fans refuse to accept Conte did anything wrong? I was debating with one today and it was like banging my head against a brick wall lmao.
Conte made a mistake Wahl but Costa hasn't been a good boy either. We should play him if we don't sell him this season after getting him back match fit.
I agree Costa has Been worse than conte. I have never at any point said I dont.

Maybe someone's weighting "today's market for top strikers" too far above "today's market for players who are wanted neither by their club nor their manager".
Our negotiating position seems to be weak. We can only sell to atletico because Costa keeps crying about how he wants to go there only and atletico know that we won't take Costa back so we have to sell him to them.
If it were me in charge I'd say furrrk him and throw the cuuunt in the reserves. Dunno why we can't do this tbh.
Because he's in Brazil lol.
I don't care tbh. Looking forward to eventually seeing some quick one touch football this year once we can field 11 players.
The club should be smart when selling Costa to Atletico and try and get a cut price or first refusal on one of their better players... That lad Carrasco isnt half bad!

From what I can see most if not all Chelsea fans admit that Conte made an error sending the text but apart from that I'm not sure what else Conte or Chelsea have done wrong.
The fact is that Costa's behaviour here is utterly disgraceful. From partying in his Atletico Madrid shirt to refusing to come back to the club he's still contracted to.
The media siding with Costa in this instance when they've been trying their best to vilify him for the last three years is beyond laughable and shows you in clear daylight their anti-Chelsea agenda.
Mate, there was a Chelsea fan yesterday saying he wouldn't admit Conte made a mistake until he knew the context of the text or something.
The context doesn't even matter, the fact is that it made things worst and we would have been better off if it didn't happen.
But despite that I do agree that that was the only mistake Conte made and it wasn't unforgivable or anything.
tbh I'm sure conte would have already told costa he was not needed at the end of the season, we do not know what context or anything the text was sent in and even if that was the original text.
Ok that was one person. I'm sure you could find one Chelsea fan who misses AVB. You get my point. It's not the opinion of the majority.
Yeah I don't see why sending Costa a text message that he can keep and save and can then use to help force through a move out of Chelsea on atletico terms and not ours is a bad thing. Its also not like such behaviour can be viewed as unprofessional either. It's also not like it hasn't already bitten us in the ass has it?
Everyone talking about the text, Contes said that Costa knew that he wasn't in his long term plans in January.
According to Costa he was going to sign a new contract until that point.
Anyone questioning his professionalism or completely overlooking the situation
How has it, you really think costa wouldn't have done the exact same if it was a phone call or a meeting? He would have just said the exact same things in interviews. Said he only wants to go atleti and we would have been in the same position.
So he hasn't used this text message to his advantage at all in this?
There you go.
But I repeat as I have said many times, it is not a huge mistake from Conte and I blame Costa more for his actions.
wahl who you supporting on 5th november?
you really are a top grade w@nker
Why does my choice of who Im supporting anger you? I'm as much of a Chelsea fan as anyone given how long I've supported them whilst also now following Man Utd since Mourinho is there.
Who says I'm angry? Just stating a fact that you are a w@nker.
