I was on another forum for the match thread. Looks like more and more people are realising I am right about Xhakas defensive liabilities. Yes he's good at passing and creating chances but is a defensive liability. I was pointing put his mistakes but by the time people went off most of them were saying they couldnt believe how poor he was. Ii know this wont be popular with people on here.
Even with our new signing we looked poor at finishing, a problem caused by Wengers team selection today.
My stream was poor and I missed a lot of the key moments so maybe my view of the game was tainted by that, but I thought we struggled to break them down. We could have had a couple of penalties but even if those fouls hadnt happened I question whether we would have scored. Overall I was a bit wary of the team selection against Stoke before the game and dont feel I was wrong. Things like Bellerin at LWB and other decisions is at least a questionable decision and at worst evidence that Wenger is past his best and needs to go.
Minor hiccup on the road today against a "bogey" team.
Some of y'all are overreacting.
I think as said, wenger is still displaying ridiculous desicion making. Puts ox back in rwb as his best position so flips him with bellerin enough said with that call lol
The biggest question for me is why you're playing 5 in the back with 1 CB, 2 LB, 1 RB, and 1 RM.
Playing everyone out position seems like a thing that only Fergie could pull off.
As poor as he was today. Xhaka ain't the problem.
He is left alone in midfield 90% of the time.
In fact, I don't think people realise how good a player he is.
He is another player being let down by Wenger, along with Ozil and a few others.
2 stonewalls and maybe a 3rd good goal called offside sorry ref was pathetic BUT subs should have been on when Stoke scored not much later
