Berardi for me. As a defender he is waaaay better than Anita and consistent from kick off. Anita needs a good 10-20 mins before he settles. Berardi has a solid, hard presence whereas Anita is a bit lightweight - a bit of a shortar$e. He's the defender pacy wingers lick their lips at. Had a torrid time against Fulham in first 30 mins. Doesn't have much pace and doesn't read the game as well as Berardi to compensate for this.

What if we sign Joe Bryan?

Of those two I'd play Berardi, knowing that Anita
can cover multiple other positions and will be in
every match day squad because of that fleibility.

Borthwich Jackson. Especially as he's the only left back we have. Berardi does a job but can't offer any width on that side and Anita is a good player and great to have as cover but wouldn't want to see him at left back often.

Jackson looked good against Preston to me, and has a quality cross.
