Walcott played RVP in on goal, so I don't really see your problem there. He didn't play that poorly. Gervihno was a threat for much of the time he played, although he did run down a few blind alleys he was always a threat of sorts.

Anyway, back to Arshavin, how many goals do you think they could have got with Arshavin's defensive frailties? Would you have been happier to be able to get on here and moan like an old woman about the same old boring defensive issues from the last few seasons?

Can't agree with a word you've said. It was a top class goal to conceed and it only appeared with a couple of minutes to go.

If you can't be happy with almost beating the German champions, giving a fairly solid defensive performance against top class opposition and only conceding a goal any team would have let in, I suspect you won't be happy with anything the team does.

You're asking for an Arsenal that no longer exists. They can no longer play that way - they don't have the players/ talent necessary.

You should realise this - expecting the team to play the way it did years ago is simply deluded.
