I'm sure MoPo would have been aware of all Jess incedencies. Yes you can call it a gamble, but a fresh start and a new country, coming into a very harmonious squad, and with the quality of player I don't see too much risk in this transfer.
Maybe we need a bit of nastiness in the team he's a winner. It's not like this club is riddled with trophies in recent years is it?
Fair enough.
Anyone know why PSG are happy to let him go?

Dani Alves there first choice Right Back now
So what is our best XI if Aurier and Barkley join?
I don't know anything about Aurier.
Barkley wouldn't make a first team at this point.
If Spurs window ends with
GK Paulo Gazzaniga
CB Davison Sanchez
CB Juan Foyth
RB Serge Aurier
?? Probably an attacker
Whilst losing
CB Fazio (Loaned anyway)
CB Wimmer
RB Walker
CM Bentaleb (Loaned anyway)
AM Onomah (Loaned)
RW Sissoko
FW N'Jie
Is that a good window in the scheme of things?
Aurier could easily be as good as Walker but probably not as yet but not much in it.
Sanchez is a great talent and better than Wimmer.
Adding Foyth as an additional defender for more depth.
The attacker will need to be top class for the window to have been a true success, there will have been no numbers added, you could argue one less player as Onomah who was on the fringes is out on loan.
Really more business needed to be done. A winger and a striker would be the minimum I would be after on top of the above.
Alves is hardly a long term option.
If it's Barkley rather than a more attacking player it would be even more disappointing.

with just them incomings i wouldn't want to lose Vorm or Janssen.
That would be best case for me and is realistic. can't see us signing an attacker or the lad from fulham

lol he'll win them things and they can just splash 200 mill on the next big cheese RB next window if they wanted
Doing what is pathetic for people having an issue with genuinely poor ethics from someone who openly called their manager a 'f*ggot', if he had called someone the n word I would have an issue as I am sure you would as well, despite having double standards. That doesn't mean I won't give him a second chance and if he does acknowledge his error and apologise for his ignorance then I have no issue.
Also Marcus Alonso is an appalling point Don, what the bloke did is disgusting and I wouldn't want him at my club. So what if Chelsea do, they aren't the club we should compare ourselves to.
Also as an aside had Alonso done the 'time' and is now out of jail after his incident, he should be welcome back into football. It is not 100% his fault that the laws in Spain are pathetic.

Underwhelming overall, only Aurier you would expect to make the first 11 from the off but I suppose a few weeks back when there was nothing happening you would have bit a hand off for that outcome.
Hopefully Levy has a surprise attacker up his sleeve but Poch never mentioned it because it is dependent on shifting Sissoko

Would disagree that it's underwhelming. We didn't need strengthening to our starting xi, just our squad which we have done defensively.
Then with Barkley we will have added a different option.

What have Chelsea got to do with it mate ? My point is that a murderer and that's what he is, has been welcomed with open arms into the premier league. No one bats an eye lid when he's scoring for Chelsea and this is a guy that's killed someone. Aurier troubles are nowhere near as serious as Alonso. Am I saying his homophobic words are right ? Of course not but I think we need to take a step back for a second because there are players in the premier league ie Alonso who have done far worse

I think it's a signing away from being a very good window.
Throw a Mahrez or someone of that ilk into that squad and you've added an extra dimension going forward as well, at the start of the summer I expected Spurs to add extra attacking options and personally would not be excited by there work if they do not do that.
Barkley is a good player but the jury is out on how effective he really is.

I'd like to see us go for Mahrez if we're looking for a winger.
Mahrez, Barkley, keep hold of Janssen. I'd be ok with that for the rest of the window.
But I have a feeling it might possibly be just Barkley and a 'Google' player.

A long shot but If your window ends like that then other teams will sit up and take notice. The squad would have been enhanced very well over the summer and Mahrez would turn a few draws into 3 points over the course of a season.
As a neutral who likes watching Spurs, that would excite me.
