Wilshere Özil , Ox & Alexis could all leave for nothing and then Wenger would claim we don't have the money to replace them as they left on frees

Mustafi isn't a top level defender, or wasn't last season at least. But if he leaves he needs replacing for sure

He was good and bad in his first season which is expected from a new player. Most would hope he would kick on this season.

If he goes and we end up playing Monreal and Kal as CBs for most of the season Wenger deserves everything he gets if not more.

What I read was Inter want him on loan. BUt another report said wenger would only let him go if the £35m we paid for him is matched. Is this the infamous "Sky sources"???

Latest is he's agreed a Loan move. But nothing official. I guess we'll get a good indication tomorrow. Still seems bizarre that we'd loan out mustafi with no replacement, even for Wenger. So kind of swaying more toward he'll stay. But then again Wenger does seem to do some very odd things

Remember the season when we went into the season with only 6 defenders to cover 4 position and Per and Koscienly being our only CB

We either have Virgil coming or Wenger has lost the plot, we can't play Nancho as CB, it's criminal, no wonder half the team wants out.

Our season looks over before September already if lose tomorrow, I can't see any positives at all only players refusing to commit and terrible performances.

Wenger lost the pot ages ago

I have no idea why Wenger signed a new deal, apart from pocketing another £16m for doing sweet FA. There is no way he will over the next two seasons undo the damage and decay he has done to the club over the last decade. There are too many wrong things at the club: our style of play, the type of players, an unaccountable manager who is more powerful than the board, an inexplicably perennial injury crisis, lack of KPI, key players rejecting new contracts.... Just too many problems.

I hoped he may actually go more all out in transfer market this year. Because CL was qualification his main thing. Thought he may ensure we get in next year and bring a few quality players in, and lacazette was a good start. But if he leave us like this for the season especially if mustafi is off, then he has lost it even more that I previously thought. I mean even my 12 year old niece watches games with me and says we need a better defence! It's so frustrating and boring now, it's not even like we have different problems each season. It's the same crap year in year out.
Please prove us all wrong Wenger!!

I don't even think Wenger has the slightest clue as to what is wrong with the club. In his senile and arrogant mind Arsenal are in perfect shape. He actually wonders why the team struggle for results. That's how bad the situation is at the club.

It's like Brexit - a complete disaster

It's like he's living in some parallel universe. He regularly sees us get smashed 4-0 etc, yet he's still convinced the defence is strong enough as it is

Mustafi is a poor defender but to let him and Gabriel leave with no fecking replacements lined up is a joke. It's almost like Wenger said no to winning anything ever again
