That's literally all he offers. No pace, no defence. No positional awareness, nothing.

I still say the biggest problem is Ozil. I can't help thinking that the rest of the MF will galvanize and sort themselves straight out if we just get Ozil out of it. A MF of Ramsey Xhaka Coq with Xhaka CM and Coq strictly sitting would work. Ramsey can be in the opposition box all he wants at No10. He'll run at defences where Ozil won't and more importantly he'll press and defend, breaking up counter attacks. Point is ANYTHING will do if we just get that lazy lankster out of the side. His manner is contagious. It's as though he sucks the very will to defend out of his MF partners.

OP Xhaka is simply not a DM. Wenger shouldn't be playing him there at all.

It's not Ozil's fault Ramsey and Xhaka are average players. Call a spade a spade.

A player like Xhaka is easily exposed in the shiiitshow of a 'system' that we have. He's a good player, but it always looks difficult to play in our team if you're in the spine of it. He really needs to cut out the sloppy passes though.

Good players can look terrible with bad coaching.

That's the problem at Arsenal.

Lots of good players playing really badly. That's not a coincidence.

Ive been expressing concerns about Xhaka for nearly a year now. Got nothing but abuse last season. Sometimes it would be far better to be wrong. Xhaka has a good pass on him but very little else. In a league like the PL you cant get away with a deep lying CM who is so weak. I said it last year and havent changed my mind. And do you emember when he said he wouldnt stop putting in tackles. Well he has.

All of these players could be made to perform better under a different manager. WENGER is the real issue. There need to be protests at EVERY game until he goes. This season is already a write-off and even with a new manager the next season will also probably be a write-off. Winning the FA Cup , where we beat two non-league teams should not have saved Wenger's job. In any other club he would have been history years ago.

So please EVERYONE . Protest against the board and Wenger. I have refused to renew our two Red memberships this year so will not be at any matches until Wenger leaves AND is adequately replaced, something I don't trust the present board to do.
