He'd be a good solid signing with PL experience plus he's not a midget either. Let's be honest our CB options are a shambles.

As good as we think Kos is he is not WC and will not be playing every game due to injury.

Pulis said we bid for him last Summer in his press conference last week.

Obviously not top class. But it'd be good to have a CB with plenty of PL experience. Signing foreign CB hasn't exactly always worked great for us, so might as well have a go with an experienced PL player.

We should be in pole position to get Evans as they want Gibbs so both teams get the player they want plus West Brom get some cash and we don't spend so much which makes Wenger a happy boy

Gibbs has rejected Watford as they couldn't meet his personal terms. Absolutely pathetic attitude from the player. Happy to keep earning 50k per week sat in the reserves. Don't ecen get me started on Debuchy.

Can only see it possibly happening if mustafi leaves. Even then Wenger probably still thinks our defence is fine. Unless the pumping by Liverpool changed his mind

Do any of you actually rate Johnny Evans. Seriously?

Why would WBA sell to a rival?

posted on 29/8/17

Wouldn't be a bad signing. Our midtable rivals have players like Scott Dann, Feserico Fernandez, Fonte etc and Evans is better than all of those

I don't and I am surprised many on here do.

This is ultimate Wenger effect guys, club and Wenger have been mugging us and looks like they have even managed to change many people's mentality. When Jonny f Evans become good enough to play for Arsenal?? have we fallen so much???

I believe his agent was linking him to Man City recently. Thats why I believe this is an agent driven story. We were hopeless against Liverpool so why not put this out there. Some gooners are bound to be desperate enough to believe it.

This time last year, fans were up in arms at the prospect of Johnny Evens coming to Arsenal. Now I read comments like "It wouldn't be a bad signing" . Our standard have fallen so low that it is embarrassing. We have to remember that Man City only want him as a back up. But we want him as a first team regular player.

Evans should not be a starting cb at a club looking to finish in the top 4... Very limited centre back.

We gave them Gibbs so this could happen

.................

He does have title winning experience.

Evans is a good, solid, tidy defender and I see him complementing Koscielny. He's certainly not world class, but our team musn't be made up of 11 world class players.

Let's be honest he's better than Mertersacker, Chamber, Monreal and Holding at CB. At the moment beggers can't be choosers. This is what happens why management haven't got a clue.

Ornstein said we have a confirmed £150m to spend at teh beginning of the transfer window. Our transfer business is a joke.
