Can you ask where he gets his hair done because I'm starting to loose mine watching us play at Wembley

Whats worrying is the unlikely chance of getting the players we have been strongly linked to.

Balde now already gone to Monaco.
Barkley/Aurier now being courted by Moneybags
Anyone else? oh, Lemar

I despair. Poch could walk and I wont blame him. What he has been building for the past few years crumbling as everyone improves and we stand still.
Lets see what surprises Levy manages to pull out for us tomorrow.

BVB have signed that RB we were after. We are so poor in the market.

posted on 30/8/17

As much as I'd love a Kovacic style signing I just don't see it happening.

One thing we haven't talked much about is Poch has shown a reluctance to budge from his first 11 so playing time is pretty limited for new signing.

So much of what we do in transfer windows, especially lately, doesn't make sense to me.

We always seem to sell before buying even when we need to strengthen, and often leave ourselves weak before making signings.

We don't tend to buy from the PL, when there is more chance these players will be PL ready. Going back to the time we sold Bale, very few have been bought. Many of the players from overseas have needed a while to settle.

We let go of players who would still prove useful to the squad at the time they're let go of.

We don't tend to target the priority areas we need to strengthen in. How long did we go needing back up for Kane before we got some? Poch doesn't fancy Janssen so it seems we still need some. We've wanted a creative type in the midfield as well. We've targeted the defence even though this is less of a concern.

And yeah, the most frustrating thing of all, leaving things really late in transfer windows when the PL has kicked off and we leave ourselves vulnerable at the start. No surprises we get off to poor starts more often than not is it?

I could go on but you get the point.

I agree that our transfer policy has not been good. It does make you question the ambitions of the hierarchy. Surely if the true ambition is to win things, then strengthening the first team and squad should be a priority.

I'm beginning to wonder whether the powers that be are just happy with the revenues that are being generated and are closing their eyes and crossing their fingers in the hope that somehow we will win something without the appropriate investment.

The selection of signings can be called into question. I mean with all due respect, when I was told we were going for a striker from the Dutch league I had my doubts because of how poor and different that league has been in comparison to the PL. I don't know if Janssen will go on to be good or not with us, but so far the signing hasn't worked.

The unknown pacy wingers from Ligue 1. Had to scratch my head a bit when we went down that same road after N'Jie didn't work out.

It all falls under the scouting I suppose, and the success rate has been pretty mixed.

Pants fully up, mate. Hate to see all the good work go to waste. Had a chance to lay down a marker after last season. So close but no cigar but yet no major key signings. Players will also become disillusioned if Wembley becomes a problem.

As for transfer deadline day, Sissoko mark 2 here we come.

We really need to improve our scouting since we not going after top players we might as well invest here.

It is ridiculous when you look at our transfer activity knowing we have one day left, with the amount of 'Ins' compared to 'Outs'.

Lost Walker, lost Wimmer, Onomah on loan, lots of other minor players released, loaned or sold, and only ONE real signing.

Call it what you like, it's bad planning/organisation/lack of ambition/plain stupidity.

Best defence in the league, solid as you like midfield, golden boot winner, 3 attacking forwards scoring 20+ goals last season, the youth showing they can cut it and chances created all over the park. Not a lot needs doing.

RIP Leicester. The 15/16 squad is being dismembered bit by bit. Arsenal are in near meltdown over Wenger, two weeks ago Chelsea fans feared this would be a terrible season for them. Maureen still can't believe his luck so far (having played West Ham (20th), Swansea(13th) and Leicester(15th)).
West Ham are falling to pieces, Palace fans are in the doldrums, Stoke paid £18m for Wimmer, the list goes on.
Happy to be a Spurs fan

I agree on paper that these looked ominous but I think we all know that we have to keep trying to unearth talent from places that aren't obvious in order to get the value that fits the club's model.

Also I feel for these guys who are brought over and expected to be incredible despite no time whatsoever on the pitch.
