Wouldn't be so bad if we had brought in a quality replacement. But we won't. Seems we're avoiding signing anyone as much as possible

You do realise it's not Wenger who actually sells players.
Anyway it would be a terrible decision if it meant City would pip you for the league or for 4th place. As it stands City are already way ahead of you.Selling Sanchez to Everton,Southampton or West Brom for them to then overtake you in the league, now then that would be a disaster
Any deal with an English side is a bad deal.
Yeah. Wenger has no say whatsoever. He just sits there idily.
Don't be silly.
He is the one who advises Kroenke.
It's probably not Wenger's decision. I think he's made it clear he'd like to keep him.
Besides, I think it's clear that it's not City we should be worried about strengthening, but the likes of Liverpool, Spurs and Everton i.e. our rivals for 4th/5th/6th.

Just don't care now. We're not challenging for the league this season, and he won't sign a new contract, so it doesn't make sense to lose him on a free anymore.
Regarding city, nobody really gives a chite if they win the league, except United fans.

We can't absolve him of responsibility renoog. Obviously Wenger didn't offer Alexis the new contract before he switched him to striker. If he had he would have been affordable. It became a hopeless cause after Alexis scored 31 goals with no control over his contract.
Personally I dont care if we sell to City. we will not be challenging them for a few years yet and by then Sanchez will be at least close to retirement. we need to get stability and desire in the dressing room, not the current crap of players wanting to leave and others who after years in the wilderness aree being used in the squad because we cant sell them.
Yeah I think Wenger is ultimately responsible as it's his inability to make Arsenal compete for top level honours that has led to Sanchez out-growing the club.
Wenger has said all along it's his decision.
Most said Sanchez would leave this summer and probably to City.
The problem you had is that city are the only club will a solid desire to acquire Sanchez this window. Do you have no choice but to sell now and make some money... Or keep him and lose him for nothing in 10 months time.
It's as much of Wenger's decision to sell Sanchez than it is Klopp's decision to sell Coutinho if they both happen.
It does seem Wenger's "pay promising youth high wages" project has rather backfired.
Wenger does need to go.
This is a shambles.
Gibbs for £5m is a steal at today's prices. Johnny Evans @ £25m as a comparison

I think the issue is more that Arsenal might be selling their star player to another PL club.

Are you sure? Jim White suggested £7m rising to £12m based on apps in the morn.
People are saying "take the money". Why? The money will never be reinvested. I would rather the bells running the club get nothing tbh.
Hate to be repetitive.
I don't think you guys get my point.
Selling a player like Sanchez to City or any other English team whether that be Everton or West Brom is a no, no.
Problem is if Sanchez stays what effect il it have on the dressing room knowing he will leave at the end of the season anyway and has no desire to be there.

Chelsea sold Cech to us. They sold Mata and Matic to Man Utd. Its more common than you think these days.
Who cares mate?
So you're gonna sell to City?
That is the sort of BS excuse Wenger and his colleagues are gonna use.
If they're so desperate in getting rid of Sanchez they could sell him for cheaper to a foreign team.
This is RVP all over again. No difference.
