It is a great deal! If you're the sort of club that will reinvest that money and sign another player. However, we are not that sort of club.

Yes it is, though he may well improve under a decent coach

Mahrez better than Ozil? Ok then.

Similar level, Dubbed. Ozil probably has a higher maximum performance level but Mahrez may suit us a bit more.

I hope ox improves massively. It'll show how incompetent Wenger is

Sanchez is not a team player. Yes he is our best player but attitude is a shambles

Apparently Ox had a massive blow out with Sanchez. Sanchez has apparently been a massive nuisance amongst the team

Nelson is Ox replacement. Lots of stories about it already. We are replacing a player who is good enough for a team already probably stronger than us to pay £40m for after time chasing him with a youth player we already have in the club and young enough not to be included in the squad numbers. Yes we are replacing Ox with no one and using a player already available as an excuse not to buy anyone else.

Typical Arsenal.

Selling Ox for £40m is good business. Not replacing him is not good business and makes the whole deal stink.

Don't get confused with the term 'replacement'. We don't need to replace Oxo because he was playing right -back or wing-back. We have Bellerin and Nelson in those positions. We still also have Debuchy at the club.

What we need is a seriously good central Midfield player to play alongside Xhaka and attacking midfield player if Alexis goes and a CB if Mustafi goes.

Can you honestly say Nelson and Bellerin are replacements. It's the kind of logic Wenger uses during the transfer windows

TBH I'd rather promote Nelson, a player with the talent to be brilliant, than quickly buy an average replacement.

The problem is we should be spending the AOC money on midfield.

Oxo is being hyped.

Bellerin is a better right back. Not better wing back. And Nelson has potential to be better than both.

Keep in mind that Bellerin came from nowhere and replaced Debuchy who was a French International and someone considered better than Sagna.
