If Arsenal fans thought it was bad now, Just wait until Arsene Wenger retires.

They won't get top 4 imo. Maybe top 6 but that's about it. Plus the EL after Xmas will derail their season like it does with everybody.

We could all see their decline over years but Arsenal fans deluded themselves all the while.

Do you feel sorry for them Matth? I was shocked how many of them were distraught they sold Ox to Liverpool seems they are still angry at us for rejecting their WUM offer for Suarez :/. They feel they should refuse to do any business with us because of it.

Dno how or why they have let it come to this, in terms of contracts with players etc the attitudes of players Wenger continuing to put faith in players constantly letting him down and the boards refusal to spend money.

The problem for them is that I don't think top players will want to go there anymore.

They've previously been able to buy their way out of trouble but the top players now aren't attracted to Arsenal.
------------------------------------

Have they bought their way out of trouble in the past? Pretty sure that the Arsenal fans have bemoaned the lack of investment in the team in the last few years, with the stadium being a drain on funds,

Dont need to rely on signing top players, sign the future top players or sign average players that work well in a team suited for them with a decent manager. Most clubs can't compete with the money anyway and Arsenal are clearly one of them despite being told they will be able after Emirates move.

They're a joke of a club. I'm glad they are in such a mess, I'm glad they won't get top 4. Plus their fans are just horrible oiks.

No one really cares mate. Honestly. Ox was an average player at Arsenal. He'll continue to be one at Liverpool.

This is wrong and commonly chucked around.
Just cause Man U struggled after Fergie left don't mean we will too.
Arsenal will no doubt improve if they get rid of Wenger and ultimately this Kroenke clown.

Hard to argue with that, its a joke how they've let it come to this as a club. Most their fans deserve this too they are s. However i wouldn't say im glad about any of it.

Yes, because it has never happened that a player picks up his game playing for another club.

Not to mention a number of players out of contract next summer.

Sanchez
Ozil
Wheelchair
Cazorla
Mertesacker

Imagine the state of the squad by next summer. Mid table team.

Will they have enough players next summer to muster up a squad.

Maybe Arsenal this season could equal Man Utd last season? Top 6 and Europa League.

The reason why the club is such a shambles right now is because of Wenger. Believe me, the best thing that could happen to Arsenal Football Club, is Wenger vacating his position. Well, maybe the second best thing after Kroenke selling the club.

The first half of the article correctly acknowledges the speed and efficiency with which Arsenal moved with their purchases.

The second half is purely speculation pulled out of the OP's nether regions, with no basis in fact.

Ox won't suit Liverpool (I think he is an ok player though), when he has to be innovative and make decisions he is at his worst. Give him a regimented system in which he can use his technique and athleticism and he would excel.

Suits a Mourinho/Conte style manager, not a Klopp/Wenger.

I for one, was sad to see him leave.

Arsenal's current style of play negates any need for pace. I'm actually struggling to remember any decent counter-attacking moves we've made.

We rely on slow build-ups and lots of ball control. Both of which the Ox visibly fails at.

Having said that, it was important to have a Plan B such as him to inject a bit of pace every now and then. You can't walk past every defence.

Matic was always a good player though. Ox has never been a good player.

It's true though. I like ox, I think he's talented, and can do fairly well under a good coach.

But I really can't recall any motm performances or match winning contributions from him over a 6 year period at the club. I'd certainly be a little anxious if we signed him for 40M with less than a year on his contract.

Also, it's nice to see liverpool fans (not you personally), thinking he's some great player.
