I wont expect a free season ticket next season but it would be nice. Basically Mel is writing off around 8 million of the TV money.
Free bar would make more sense π
Or he could do a Fawaz and lead Forest back into Europe?? For another 'star'.
Huddersfield have 2 also BTW do they come with cornflakes?

They have three for the three in a row league titles they got in the 1930's ππ½
Is this Mad Mel trying to raise some funds to try and avoid a FFP embargo? Rumours that Villa are also in danger of falling foul too. All I can say is I wouldn't recommend it...
FFP embargo
That's pretty desperate wishful thinking. Seriously
We're in good company PSG being touted too for a slap.
Who do you think Mel employs as accountants in this businesses, chimpanzees?
Purchased this window £9.5M?
Sales £13.5M
Correct me if I'm wrong but that's a profit?
Plus a couple of big earners off the wage bill Baz.
The offer is sound business. If we don't get promotion we will increase cash flow from season ticket sales. If we do the massive increase in TV money will more than compensate for the loss of season ticket revenue, plus all the fans will have that extra feel good factor.
Actually a very clever move by uncle Mel. The club may see a small boost in ST sales in the coming weeks.
Really?
So you are saying there are Derby fans that wouldn't have got a season ticket, now will because they think you will be promoted and so will win a freebie!
Surely Mel is just mugging off the most stupid and deluded of you're fan base, seemed to have worked a treat on poor old Baz
On the point of the ffp, congratulations, by selling your assets you may have avoided an embargo but I would suggest waiting to see if the transfer window has improved your team before hailing Mel as some sort of hero....
Well Bunk, you probably don't understand about teams with a high income from season ticket sales. There may be some waverers out there who bought last year but haven't bought this year. They just need a nudge. Also if we are in contention next year when season tickets are to be renewed this will also encourage fans to make a decision.
As for hero Mel, we aren't like Forest fans who had their Hasawi day. We were critical of Mel from the off as we have had sugar daddy owners before and it all ended in tears. Maybe it's just because we are brighter than fans who fight over a meat pie.
I believe it was actually a Veg Balti pie. They looked like they needed to go on a diet anyway...
Good that they were vegetarians but do they have to eat an allotment every day.
You are absolutely right, I don't understand
If I was not going to buy something, say a car, but the salesman then told me "listen mate, if you do buy this and buy the upgrade in 4 months time, next year you will be dating Rita Ora" I like to think I would resist reaching for my Credit Card
That's because you are too stupid to spot a bargain Bunk. If I renew my season ticket before a certain date next year, what have I lost? A tiny amount of interest for the chance of having all my money returned. Only an idiot would turn that down.
but that's the point, you were going to do it anyway so it makes no difference to you
This is about changing people's mind who before this offer were not going to buy one!
Spart knows.
Bunk's a desperate imbecile.

Rita Fairclough more your style ?
It's not at all avbout changing people's mind. If he attracts, say, 500 more ST'H's on the basis of maybe getting a freebie in the future, great.
A free ST for all will be virtually irrelevant when offsetting the £200M+ windfall of PL money + MASSIVELY INCREASED TV revenue.
It's a gesture -'thanks for sticking by us'.
NB unlike many owners, MM does not need the money, and is not running DCFC with a view to increasing his (already) enormous wealth.
If he does (??), that's a bonus for him.
You are missing the point of the bargain Bunk. It is a low risk way of rewarding loyal fans and encouraging some of the part time fans to become season ticket holders. Seems a much better idea than an al Hasawi day.
As I don't think we will be promoted this season it probably wont save me anything but like the lottery, you have to be in it to win it and this gamble has far shorter odds.
