But was kept in the first team squad for 8 years.

The next few games are going to decide Arsenal season and may be Wenger future. We'd seen it in the past that Wenger managed to get himself and the team out of trouble and eventually finishing in the top 4 but it's changed since last season despite United having a poor season. Quality wise Arsenal have not improved much this season but there are few unhappy players in the squad and this would have a negative impact on the team.

Ox on Klopp: "The thing that stood out for me was his relationship with the players, how close he seems to bond with the players on and off the field. That's massive and it's definitely a big plus when you're looking to progress, having that relationship with the manager, that definitely helps."

Stop it!

Ungrateful clown!
What more faith and understanding could a headless chicken have been given?

He'll never get in ahead of Can, Wiljnadum or Lallana.

And end up back at Southampton.

Wenger doesn't develop young players. The British core who all signed contracts were rubbish! Only Ramsey was secretly doin' bits back then, the rest were meh!

Ox - looked better at Southampton
Wilshere - can't keep fit/looked better at 17
Ramsey - plays better for Wales than for Arsenal
Jenkinson - he is a fan, not Arsenal quality. But I like his love for the club
Gibbs - never improved, Nacho dispatched him with ease..SMFH
---------------------------
He has improved them all hugely. They were really bad. It's just that because we are Arsenal we expect them all to turn out like Ashley Cole and Cesc Fabregas.

To give you an idea about how terrible British players are we will only have to wait for the World Cup.

Everyone knows wenger has lost the dressing room and can't really blame Ox for wanting out.

I just can't agree with that at all.
Have any of them reached even close to their potential?
Maybe Gibbs and Jenko as they're not particularly talented.

Sorry one thing I do agree on, the England national side are comedy bad atm.

I find 'potential' so confusing in football.

Ashley Cole had Robert Pires in front of him.
Kieran Gibbs had Gervinho.
Jenkinson had Walcott.

Chelsea's success has been built on buying finished article players - we don't and yet we are expected to compete.

Are we even talking about the same thing?
I was asking whether Wenger had improved them hugely as you put it.
Nothing to do with competing with any other club, it's simply about the issues we're having with our young players struggling to fulfil their potential under Wenger.

Cosmic, I'm not angry about the Ox - its a relief.
Wenger was going to build the team around him!

And sᴉɥƃuǝlפ you just wait and see.

This is the first case where a guy has turned down 30k a week less, + 60k if we got back into the Champions League!

This is all supposition unless of course you know what his signing on bonus was.

I'm sure you have read what Ox said about Wenger.

Ox on Klopp: "The thing that stood out for me was his relationship with the players, how close he seems to bond with the players on and off the field. That's massive and it's definitely a big plus when you're looking to progress, having that relationship with the manager, that definitely helps."

So...he actually didn't say ANYTHING about Wenger, only positive things about Klopp. I dont understand why you assume that everything he said, the exact opposite applies to Wenger, when he didn't even mention AW's name.

Good luck to Klopp, if he can improve that headless chicken then well done.

No end product, a seriously frustrating player who was using a valuable spot in our team.
