Cav disappointing, thought he would score at least one but never mind it's 3 points and points make prizes
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He's inconsistent. Someone needs to have a word.

Gem was being sarcastic, cav did nowt wrong
At one up you can get caught out, and we nearly were at the end.
Looking at the table, though we're well behind Leeds and Cardiff on Goal Difference, surprisingly with +4, we have the 3rd best GD in the division
Can't say I am worried about it at all wulfrun, we will tonk a few teams this season, we are a very good side, make no mistake
Get used to the single goal win margins. We have a much better defensive side and all the time we have different players who can find the net, I'm not that bothered about not having got an out and out striker.
As long as the goals are shared around, we'll be ok and no need for pant wetting because we didn't get a striker in, albeit we tried.
Not sure I want too many nervy 1-0 wins. I'd sooner be winning 5-0 like Leeds, so the games can be enjoyed.
At the game today as always and it was enjoyed, we won easily enough. At the end several milwall players dropped to their knee' s shattered from chasing the ball all afternoon.

Yeah that really stood out to me, Millwall looked bemused at times as if they had no idea how to get the ball and looked shattered.
Think picking Marshall over cav or Eno was a mistake in the front three, he is a good player but not pacey or direct enough for me there.

Marshall should be emergency cover. No more, no less. A worrying decision from Nuno.
I like Marshall, but strange decision and presumably based on his work tracking back perhaps?
Saiss today
107 touches
92 passes
96% accuracy
7 of 8 long balls completed
3 shots 3 shots on target
2 tackles
nice to start the season with 3 points and a clean sheet
jota and saiss splitting MTM for me
this team plus costa (dropping someone, not playing with 12 men) would probably have finished millwall off quicker, especially after they went down to ten.
off out for a meal and a few bottles of wine, will post more detailed thoughts tomorrow at some point...
on our current level of attacking performance we have no chance of top 2.
for all the self congratulation we have just beaten the team 19th by 1 goal.
last game we couldn't score against the team 23rd
We have every chance of finishing top 2 so stop wetting your pants.
Mighty Ipswich only beat them by one but the difference between that game and this is we had 19 shots to their 9 whilst Ipswich had 8 to millwalls 23
^
as ipswich have no chance of being top 2 either yours is a pretty weak argument.
I honestly have no idea what you are getting worked up about I really don't.
13 points from 18 and you are telling us we have NO CHANCE, ridiculous.
Good performance in most aspects of the game with pretty well all the team playing well. Marshall perhaps the exception as he looked like he needed the game.
I thought Jota was outstanding but Saiss, Neves, Bonatini and Vinagre also very good. And defensively Coady, Batth and Ruddy all did well. Doherty did good work but didn't have the final ball today. Very impressed with N'Diaye and he looks like he will be a real asset and looks a great athlete.
But the Achilles heel of this team is that it just doesn't look like it has enough goals in it. That's more a criticism of the way we play rather than the attackers because we just don't get enough players into the opponents area. If we dominate the game as we did today we will get away with it but against a none too special Millwall team we didn't put the game away and Ruddy saved us twice near the end. Don't like the idea of needing to keep a clean sheet to get a result.

Not really, I haven't seen anyone else declare we have NO chance of top two.
Agree with DJ regarding our attack which is why I don't think Marshall is the right choice in a front three as he will spend very little time in the box.
Eno or Cav to start on the right til Costa comes back I would say, both a lot more direct.
