We gave them far too much space at the back but don't think we can take too much from this game to be honest, it was pretty even 11 v 11. I doubt there's many teams that wouldn't be beat 4/5-0 in the same situation. Just have to move on and hopefully bounce back against Sevilla.

You can't win anything with a back 5 as poor as yours. I think our second string back 5 is on par with it. Our sub keeper would walk into your team for starters.
Jurgen the genius hasn't bought the players he needed yet again.

Don't think we can read anything into todays game
We don't have the personnel to shut up shop with 10 away at a rival
Utd and Chelsea yes but us no chance
Our attack is our best source of defence so unfortunately wity the red we were always going to get spanked. Klopp knew this after the second so took it on the chin and rested players
Keeping klaven and selling Sakho is my only gripe with Klopp
We don't or very rarely get spanked so best to just draw a line underneath it and move on
I think when it was 11 v 11 we showed we were a match for them. We were just awful 've we went down to 10. It too concerned at the moment. Let's see the next few games. I would like to see Gomes starting more at rb as I feel he is better than taa
You are doing well going forward
But your mediocre defence will come to haunt you this season - Until you rescue the back 4 comes January.

This is a important point here.
Personally felt you were the more cohesive of the teams when it was 11v11 but when Mane went off Klopp seemed to make little changes in the set-up.
His thinking was possibly along the lines of 'a defeat is a defeat. We should atleast try to go for it'.
At the end of the day,for Klopp atleast,3 points and Mane are the only things lost today.

100%
But some fans wont accept this and they have a right to feel that way
I don't. It's a 1 off and if it happened on a regular basis i would kick off too
First goal was way too easy and we had 11 men then, right down the middle and the line was all over the shop.
TAA was under pressure from the off think a game like this was a step too far for him, he'd be better suited to playing sides that sit deep at Anfiled, we missed Vlyne today.
Once down to ten, right decision IMO, we were done they're too good.
Awful day but a game mid week at home in CL, it's not all bad.
is this a joke?
it's a meaningless result. We were the better side until the sending off.

How is a premier league game meaningless?
you're right. We now know how we play with 10 men when we're losing to the best side in the league.
otherwise, it's completely meaningless and doesn't really tell us anything about the rest of the season.
unless we plan on playing with 10 more often
It's an awful hammering though Kaiser
Klopp put it well 5-0 is better than five 1-0s but need a reaction v Sevilla
I don't really care to be honest. The chances of GD mattering are approaching nil.

A good performance we could have 3 more points and be top of the league.
The 5-0 is irrelevant yes that just damages GD but we could have won the game had we actually turned up.
In tight games and against teams putting us under pressure I get worried becuase our captain who is supposed to control the game for us panics and basically becomes peripheral figure. Now it's a bigger worry after buying another player in the same category.
We are quick to critercise our centre backs but ignore the fact they get no protection from our midfield and full backs. City's Centre backs are worse but today they had a plan. They were inviting us to attack. They had three midfielders protecting their defence. Their fullbacks didn't go forward as they used to only when we had a player down and subbed Salah which gave Mendy freedom to go forward.
Embarrassing result but it should be lesson learned.
Klopp should take most of the blame. Gomez was outstanding against Arsenal. TAA have had problems against Hoffienham and Watford. Salah was our main threat. Should have stayed on. Putting a new player in Ox on the bench and then play him ahead of Coutinho who usually plays so well against City was another wrong decision. We should learn from Guardiola tactics today. Our midfielders should have given more protection to the defence instead of going forward as we were playing a home game against Arsenal or Palace.
All our rivals winning comfortably at half time as well, what a shiitt day.
