Agree. I know that we spurs fans say the word with affection, not prejudice, but ultimately it's not our word to say. And it opens up others (rival fans) to utilise the word with prejudice.
I don't think it helped that in the past, police action was threatened, but I think a discussion on this with Jewish community would be healthy.
Other fans will still use it against us even if we stop.
Anything visual like bouncing up and down MUST be accompanied by a lot of noise.
I have to say supporters just bouncing up and down with a lot of grunting with their backs towards the pitch is really ridiculous. They are supposed to be watching a football match, not auditioning for Britain`s got talent.
WERE TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR WERE SING WHAT WE WANT.
Not a pop at the op but the world has gone pc crazy.
I once was a team leader at work and we received a nice letter from some Christian customers praising the help we had given. At the end it says I hope god had blessed you like his blessed us , I said to the team lovely letter shame there religious nuts.
Next day I'm in a meeting with HR as 5 people complained about what I said.
Facking ridiculous, if people get offended that easily now days then they should grow thicker skin.
Football is a game that binds the world regardless of skin colours and religion , if we want to chant Yi Ds so be it , the only thing I agree with is kicking out racism.
Why add the nuts bit at all though? I'm not religious but I appreciate others are. Doesn't make them nuts cos they choose a slightly different way of life to you. I agree that PC movement is gettkng out of hand but you not with you on that one. You receive a lovely letter. That's it. Think you were being nuts about it tbh.

It was meant to ba taken as a giggle but hey ho.
We've used the term for years when others have tried to have a pop at us for having a large Jewish following.
