Agree mate. His selections at time is baffling

Hengy

I reckon Poch has cost the team quite a few points already this season with his strange team selections, and his inability to make decent substitutions at the right time. After the ponderous first half, he should have yanked off Trippier and Sissoko at half time and brought on Aurier and Llorente, then Dembele should have come on with a good 30 minutes to run at the Swansea central defence.

Sandy

Today wasn't even rotation it was obscene and naive. Because we are not playing a great team to think he can put players in different positions and leave out key players.

Begs the question What sort of team is he going to field against Barnsley?

Llorente came on and looked pretty ordinary. Like a less mobile janssen we'll see

I don't think Spurs have enough blue-chip players with the big-game mentality to win regularly at a grand stadium like Wembley.

Look at Arsenal for example, we have players who have won World Cups, Copa Americas and major league titles, so we excel at Wembley - 9 straight wins, picking up 6 trophies.

Poch will probably start Dembele against Barnsley.

And still get mullered by teams like Stoke.

What's the point should be the games he's rested for if he feels he needs resting.

It's better to win 6 trophies in 39 months than beat Stoke

Do you think there maybe a hoodoo at Wembley?

Yeah Sandy you are right mate,

It
s not like it wasnt obvious, why no stick with the same team, an then sub those taht are struggling - I never undestood rotation when its applied like this, maybe a proper substitution strategy is all it needs, and swap out the more fatigued players as they require it - not change half the squad because the opponents arent in the top 6.

Really frustated with todays game.

It's not always about tiredness. From the manager's point of view he has to try and keep the camp happy and give players who aren't getting chances a chance.

We could have played the same team we did against Dortmund, but our opposition would still have set up not to lose, unlike Dortmund who actually wanted to win, and really who wouldn't have thought we couldn't have got a result with the team we started? Would have done had it not been for the bar. And nobody banked on Alli being as shiiite as he was.

Poch should have been more quick to adapt to the situation though. Agree with what Phenom said about the subs. Why Dembele wasn't brought on I don't know.

Its not easy to leave a coment without saying "hoodoo" because the premier wembley hoodoo is very real

played 3 = won = 0

away from the hoodoo - can you please tell me how did serge aurier do in his short cameo. hes a very good signing for spurs.

Any club left Wembley without a point in the league games against Spurs this season?

posted on 16/9/17

Pochs' weakest points is his inability to rotate effectively and to adjust our game plan in matches where we are struggling to break down determined well drilled mass defences.

Look at our last three games, away to Everton who gave us time and space we tore them apart. BD had a right go at us and we murdered them on the counter and today Swansea sat back and admittedly with a bit of luck shut us out. The easiest game on paper produces the worst result. The team with the most negative game plan gets the best result against us.

This will probably happen a few times this season especially at Wembley.

To be fair, New Wembley is difficult to win at.

Apart from us and Chelsea, everyone has had a tough time playing there since it opened in 2007.

im not a gambler but what would the odds be for spurs at wembley in the premier league be if below happens

Played = 19 - win = 0 = draw = 17 - lost = 2

yeah I have to agree, it was nothng to do with the way Poch set the team up, or Swansea executing their game plan, it was all down to the "hoodoo" as pointed out above by GrandeLichal!

So dont read too much into the substitution strategy or the team selection or game plans - its some mysterious thing that happens when we play at Wembley
